Didn’t have the gusher issues others had. Deep black, tan head. Tons of oak, dark fruit, slight sour nose. Flavor is woody with roasted malt, more dark fruit, and a sour finish. I bet this ages nicely.
Jester King Brunch at Meddlesome Moth. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of coffee, pomegranate, and toffee. Pours inky black with a quickly disappearing dark brown head. Aroma is tart cherry, light chocolate and oak. Taste is surprisingly un stout like. Now this bottle has been with me for a while so I would love to try a fresh one for comparison but reading the other reviews it seems that this might be normal. Moderate cherry tart, with a little yeast and some oak dryness. A little chocolate but I would like to have the roasted malts come through and balance this out a little more.
