Really spicy and sour in a nice assertive way. Its straw and clear. A slight head that fades. So good. I could drink this all day.

Backlog from Qubec RB Gathering 2016. Hazy golden with a small white head leaving some lacing. Aroma is of alcohol, oak/wood, moderate spiciness and wild features. Taste is also oaky and boozy with moderate to medium spiciness, fruity notes, mild oxidation and wild yeast from Jester King. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Fruity finish. Its too heavy and "harsh" for a Jester King beer and their house yeast and microflora doesnt give a nice result - in my opinon - in that kind of beer. The fruitiness is fun though.

BOTTLE. Cloudy straw/orange colour with fluffy white head, fades quickly.. Yeastie nose, melon & honey are prominent.. Wheat base, yeastie vibes are solid, acidic lemon with sappy hop/malt combo to finish.. Sourced Dutch Trading Co.

Refrigerated brown 75 cl brown bottle poured into a snifter. Tawny with small white head. Aroma is nice fruity spice, medium body, little carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is tart spice and fruit.

Batch 15 - Pours a murky orange, massive, light beige head.... Frothy with coarse edges. Aroma is full of Belgian yeast, some clove, celery and tart berries. Let this guy warm up before consumption. White grape peel hits first, some peach and straw, the yeast returns pretty hard, sour banana edges. Well masked abv. Decent but I never was able to fully get my heart into it.

750ml bottle shared with jamesy -- cheers! This tasted like a combination of a Belgian strong ale and a saison, with a strong malt flavor that still managed to get a lot of funky farmyard aromas from the yeast. Dry and crisp and much more bitter than I expected. Theres a lot going on, and for the most part it works.

Shared 750 ml. bottle poured to a snifter showing a cloudy, orangey gold color, with a fluffy layer of off white head foam, and waves & ribbons of lacing. The nose was subtle yeast & spice, pit fruit as peach, some orange & peel, with hints of soapiness & floral scents. Medium bodied, with decent carbonation, the mouthfeel possessed some creaminess, as the taste reflected the aroma notes plus a rind-like & earthy bitterness that lingered, while showing a little alcoholic warmth. A tasty Belgian Golden Strong.

75CL, similar taste to previous batches. golden brown, light, good head. smells like a yeast-factory with some egg, wheat and spice. Lots of kolsch and new-age saison mixed in here. bit of barrel. really nice. high alcohol but drinks like a 6%

Pours a hazy golden with a moderately small white head that leaves nice lacing. Nose is of oak, alcohol and spices. Taste is fruity, lightly oxidated with a light tartness. Spices (if they were used) are really discrete in this one. Body is medium, carbonation as well. A fun "something", what would you call it? A "fruity saison"? It didnt feel like there was a plan behind it, really, but it was still pretty good.

My Bottom Line:
Bread dough and bitter herbs coalesce in this starkly farmy, tannic creation.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam tops the cloudy beige.
-Flavor profile is pleasant, but the rendering is perhaps rougher than what I am used to with JKing.
-The local flora in this one keeps things interesting throughout, contributing plenty of character thats not classic brett-like.
-Love this brewery, I have to admit I didnt fall for this one quite as much as the rest of their lineup.

Bottle.
