750mL bottle from Carwyn Cellars. Batch #15 - 09.09-2015 Copperish gold body, very clear, holds a creamy slightly off-white head. Aroma is musty, apple flesh, acetaldehyde, old oak, wheat & cereals, ripe apricots & yellow peach. Surprisingly lean body, well attenuated, a bit like a saison with that sort of minerally carbonic bite to it. Becomes rather farmhouse-y on the palate - hay, meadow, grain husk, savoury meal & spices of cinnamon & nutmeg with really ripe, slightly browning orchard fruits in the mix well & truly. Dry finish, sort of vinous, has a slight Chardonnay grape character going on. Really interesting - a significant & different sort of brew to bring up 100 Belgian Strongs!

A more earthy/hoppy and less tart/funky offering from JK. Hides the alcohol well. Not what I was expecting, just ok overall. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Really spicy and sour in a nice assertive way. It’s straw and clear. A slight head that fades. So good. I could drink this all day.
