Draught @ Borefts 12. Hazy orange color, virtually no head, just a slight off-white lacing. Smell sourness, dusty and lightly yeasty. Taste malts, balanced sourness, lightly sour apple, and some fruits. Medium body, slightly syrupy texture, low to medium carbonation. faroeviking (11115) - Chupando chellas es como ellas, FAROE ISLANDS - OCT 5, 2012

Bottle @ 4th Borefts 2012. A hazy orange/yellow colored beer, with a white head. The aroma of malt, fruits like mango and some hops. The taste is fruity sweet with hop bitter. The aftertaste is pleasant sweet and bitter. jackl (8297) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - OCT 4, 2012
Bottle @ Borefts 2012. The pour’s deep amber with a small head. The nose is funky belgian yeast, some brett and lemon. The taste is sweet barnyard yeast, more tart lemon peel, some peach. Light vinous notes. Sweet esters. Smooth, supple. OK, but not Jester King’s best. 77ships (10770) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - OCT 2, 2012
750 ml. bottle - sampled @ Borefts 2012 - hazy orange amber with creamy white head - smell is lightly funky and full of fruits, lightly tropical, tad spices - taste is sweet peaches, apricots. lightly funky and white bread yeast, tad tropical and citrus, ending lightly sour, funky with spices - mellow bodied - added touches of light farmhouse nature made it work - this is fine sutff

Bottle at borefts 2012. I really loved this one. Pours a dense white head and shows a deep orange cloudy color. Aroma and palate remind of tropical fruit, wheat, citrus fruits and hops. Taste was a very balanced bitterness, subtle sweetness and sourness. Very refreshing!

From Notes, 4/23/12:
Poured a 750ml bottle into a Jester King snifter. First batch directly from the brewery.
A: Cloudy burnt orange with a fluffy white head that settles into a ring that laces down the glass nicely.
S: Citrus up front, barnyard, faint malt sweetness. Some spiciness as well.
T: Follows the nose, except everything is more pronounced. Citrus in the beginning, maltiness in the middle, slightly bitter hops in the finish.
M: Medium and perfect for the style.
O: This is the best offering by Jester King since Black Metal. Gets better as it warms up. I can’t keep my nose out of this one, as it smells amazing. Definitely a sipper to be enjoyed with a meal. If you want a widely available comparison, Boulevard’s Tank 7 would be it. At the risk of sounding like a TX homer, I believe Mad Meg surpasses it. Borefts 12. Very hazy orange with a decent white head. Smells weird. A bit chemical, fruity, thin. Tastes way sweeter than expected, fruity, but still a bit watery. Thin body, fizzy carbo.
