COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mad Meg is simple in terms of ingredients with French pilsner malt, wheat, a touch of caramunich and acidulated malt, Czech Saaz hops and our farmhouse yeast. It is golden colored and quite strong at over 9% ABV. The palate intertwines delicate farmhouse esters with earthy, spicy hops and clean malt flavors.

Bottle @ Danish Summer Gathering Ulfborg, 2012. Pours cloudy golden with a small white head. Fruity and herbal. Some exotic hops. Dry and medium bodied. Fine.

Thanks a bunch, Dixonian, for this one! Nose is pepper and grapefruit with some sea water and yeast. The body was golden colored with a big white head. The last pour from the bottle was almost green from all the yeast, haha! I think the taste resembled water from a tide pool that had sat in the sun until the next high tide came. Then, someone stepped in that pool and splashed this water into your mouth. Funky, salty, citrusy, yeasty, good.

Thanks OmegaX, this was a nice brew. The body was cloudy and had lots of carbonation - at least an inch of head with each pour! Aromas were herbal and full of yeast, lemongrass and bread. The taste was spicy as well with a delicate yeast character. Undertones of grapefruit, caramel and perhaps even salt make for a most interesting brew.

Bottle 750ml @ TFODRBSG12
Pours slightly hazy deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, dried fruits and yeast. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, 75cl, at TFODRBSG 2012. A big, creamy, off-white head forms and stays over an unclear, golden-orange body. Some lacings. Not sure about the aroma of this one, it’s fruity and pleasant, but with something I can’t really recognize. Herbal and lightly chalky maybe. Spiced hints. Quite dry on the palate, medium to full body. Quite bitter in the end, fruity and with some spicyness. A nice one, but nothing extraordinary going on. 120818

Bottle at home with friends. Poured a deep copper color with a huge frothy white head. Floral hops, caramel, citrus, light funk, and a touch of figs in the aroma. Taste is funky, green apples, pear, citrus, spice, and biscuit with a light bitter finish. Mouthfeel is medium with high carbonation. Pretty nice.
