COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mad Meg is simple in terms of ingredients with French pilsner malt, wheat, a touch of caramunich and acidulated malt, Czech Saaz hops and our farmhouse yeast. It is golden colored and quite strong at over 9% ABV. The palate intertwines delicate farmhouse esters with earthy, spicy hops and clean malt flavors.

25-OCT-2013, bottle @Ulkløbben meeting, @Morten. Hazy yellow with lasting white head. Aroma is yeast spice, weat, malty toast, a touch of brett. Taste the same. Medium body. Creamy. Very fine drink.

superspak (5594) - Michigan, USA - OCT 22, 2013
750 ml bottle into signature tulip glass, bottled in March 2013. Pours moderately hazy golden amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big apple, apple skin, pear, lemon zest, hay, grass, coriander, pepper, clove, wheat, bread, light caramel, musty funk, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance of malt, hop, and yeast ester notes; with good strength. Taste of apple, pear, lemon zest, coriander, clove, pepper, hay, grass, wheat, bread, light caramel, musty funk, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Good amount of peppery bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of pear, apple, lemon zest, clove, pepper, coriander, hay, grass, wheat, bread, light caramel, musty funk, and earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice balance and complexity of malt, hop, and fruity/spicy yeast ester flavors; with a great malt/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very crisp and lightly prickly mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent hoppy saison style. All around great balance and complexity of hop, malt, and fruity/spicy yeast flavors; and very crisp and smooth to sip on for 9%. A very enjoyable offering.

From a 750 ml bottle at the Jester King Brewery, Austin, TX.
Clear golden colour with an average sized frothy white head. Sweet hoppy fruitiness and very strong sweetness in the aroma. Strong fruity, spicy and peppery flavour. Alcohol warms a lot.

Yorker (2006) - Herning, DENMARK - SEP 12, 2013
75 cl bottle @ home. Pours cloudy golden with a huge white head that leaves quite a bit of lacing. Aroma is yeast, a little funk, pepper, and fruit. Flavour is much like the aroma – with a dry finish. More fascinating than good.

Theydon_Bois (19506) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - SEP 1, 2013
Gravi-cask at GBBF ’13, 16/08/13. Murky orange amber with a thin off white head. Nose is candied sugars, bitter orange, light spice, apricot, funky notes. Taste comprises sour and tarte fruit, yeast esters, sugars, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry and tarte fruity finale with delicate spice. Ok easy drinking affair, the 9% ABV doesn’t really show up much at all!
