On tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration.
Opaque dark brown beer, tidy dark tan head. Rich dark malt with a little coffee.Tiny bit of peppery spice. Very mild smoke. More pepper comes through and leads to a spicy warm dry finish.
On tap. Pours an opaque deep black with a creamy light brown head. Very thick roasty aroma, slightly coffeeish. Rich body, yet with a fairly dry roastiness and what appears as a slight chili bite. Ends malty bitter. An interesting brew indeed that doesn’t appear nowhere near 10.1% 120512 Leighton (21742) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 26, 2012
Draft at the Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. Pours oily black with a big, brown foam head. Dark malt nose, burnt wood, faint plastic, very fant chilies, some age. medium to big sweet flavor, strong roasted malts, dark chocolate, decent bit of spicy heat, some peaty earth. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Moderate warmth to finish, the spiciness picks up a bit, especially in the throat, but it’s just about the perfect level of spice - not too much, not too little. Pretty nice chili impy.
