Sampled from bottle @ Borefts 12. Opaque pitch black color, small brown lacing on top, no real head. Smell roasted and burned malts, slightly smoke, lightly liquor. Taste Roasted and burned malts, alcohol, liquor, some chocolate, medium bitterness. Increasing bitterness in the finish, very nice! From bottle at Borefts 2012. Pours black, small head. Aroma is strong malty, light roasted, tar and sea. Taste is smooth, moderate sweet chocolate and caramel, rich and intriguing, sneaks up on you.

Pour pitch black, with no head. Aroma of soy, slight coffee, and some faint hints of spices, slight chocolate. The taste is a little bitter, with some (salty(?)) notes. Average body, with a flat carbonation. (could have gotten more out of the weasel-coffee imo.

From bottle @ Borefts 2012. The pour’s deep brown with no head. The aroma’s of sweet chocolate fudge, cocoa, brioche bread and mild vanilla. The taste is of soft espresso, more vanilla and plenty of chocolate. Light roasted malt on the finish. Very smooth, silky mouthfeel. Overall, a great imperial stout. Top work! Bottle at Borefts 2012, Bodegraven. Pours oily black with a weak, tan head. Great barrel character coming through on the nose, some dark chocolate. Medium sweet flavor, plenty of scorched wood, mocha. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Moderately warming to finish, some dark fruit hints, a bit of raisins, dirt, modest roast, subtle alcohol. Bottled. Pitch black coloured. Dense brown head. Aroma: roast, alcohol, cocoa, liqourice, cofffee. Flavour. Roast, chocolate, cocoa, chili, coffee. Medium to full bodied. Ends Roasted bitter with a light chili bite and a touch of smoke.
