Dark, dark brown pour, nice chocolate brown head. Rich coffee aromas give way to a subtle chili spice and roasted malt with tones of dark chocolate. Flavor is sweet up front, spice at the end and in the middle loads of rich chocolate, roast and coffee. Really nice. Idiosynkrasie (7419) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - SEP 30, 2012
750ml bottle. Opaque black with very small, brown, lasting, lacing head. Dark malty aroma with notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, coffee, additional overtones of floor or shoe polish and leather. Taste is similar, a constant battle between the heavy, sweet side, that is in trouble to establish itself, and the at last preponderant lighter, dry one. goozen (4045) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - SEP 30, 2012
Bottle at Boreft Beer Festival ’12, Bodegraven: Very black coloured brew with almost no head. Taste of coffee and choclate and it have medicinal appearance. PotjeBier (3183) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - SEP 30, 2012
From bottle (too cold!) @ Borefts ’12. Black color, no head. Aroma’s: chocolate, sweet, earth/funky, also roast retronasal. Flavor is medium sweet, funk, chocolate. Strong alcohol feel, burning (like there was chili in it). Medium body. Finishes slightly dry, wood, medium bitter. Abio (1869) - BERMUDA - SEP 30, 2012
Black very small head. A good mixture of coffee and chocolate. Something pleasant inside, slightly booze, not bad at all.

Sample at SBWF 2012.
Dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate and roasted malt. Also licorice and some spices. I liked this, complex beer with a lot of flavours. The body was full. A tasty collaboration.

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2016 Tap at Flying Saucer Houston. Deep black with a very slight brown head. Aroma of cocoa, coffee, roast, and mild licorice and smokey notes. Very rich, coffee, chocolatey, slightly smokey tasting. Nice bitterness to go along with the richness and easy spiciness. Full bodied and smooth; booze well hidden. Borresteijn (6959) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - SEP 29, 2012
On tap at BBF’12. Black colour, thin beige head. Aroma of pure chocolate, smooth coffee, hard roasted malts, some green peppers. Flavour is superb coffee, moccha, lots of great chocolate, hard roasted malts, firm burning pepper note that suits the beer really well, more chocolate, bitter finish. Fullbodied, soft mouthfeel. Great stuff. erickok (6034) - Leuven, BELGIUM - SEP 29, 2012
UPDATED: SEP 30, 2012 Dark brown, small tan head. Creamy, chocolate. Hazel nuts. Full bodied, syrupy. Good! Better than the Wiskey Rodeo as well. (On tap at Borefts 2012) Travlr (24262) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - SEP 29, 2012
Bottle at Borefts. Dark brown color, brown edge head. Aroma of burnt espresso, licorice. Taste is coffee, chocolate, spice. Tasty, but it’s hard to beat the original.
