Opaque black color with a small, tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, cocoa, smokey chipotle, some oatmeal, and a bit of alcohol. Taste of oatmeal, roasted malts, burnt wood, coffee, smoke, and a bit of chipotle heat in the finish. Really nice. Sask89 (514) - Regina, Saskatchewan, CANADA - FEB 23, 2013
Pours black in colour with almost no head. Aroma is of roasted barley malts, coffee beans and a slight hint of chipotle pepper. Taste has some dry bitterness to it and an even sweetness throughout. Medium-full body, lively carbonation and smooth on the palate. Overall a unique and interesting brew, quite enjoyable. umich03jm (3513) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - FEB 12, 2013
Bottle from trade with Crajun. Pours dark black in color with almost no head. Thick and musty oatmeal stout aroma mixed with strong coffee bean aroma. Also hints of chocolate syrup, smoke, and bacon. Taste is solid. Sweeter and more smoky than I expected. Coffee and chocolate tastes are great but a little too smoky. Light chipotle pepper spice in the finish, Medium body, somewhat oily mouthfeel. Solid imperial stout. Thanks Kevin, happy to try this. Palme (4811) - Bergen, NORWAY - FEB 8, 2013
From 0.75l bottle @ Borefts 2012. It’s as good as jet black in the glass this one, but the head glimmers with it’s absence. On the nose is amazingly lovely. Vanilla roasted coconut with rich buttery chocolate and deep dark Brazilianized amazonian coffee on wood with some brown muscavado sugar on the side. Rich and lovely aromatic. It has a small pirckling carbonation level and a rich oily mouthfeel. The taste is also somewhat vanilla infused, lot’s of fantastic cold coffee, deep roasted goodness, bitter dark chocolate and it ends with a throat-warming chili-like alcohol burning. Really fancypancy stuff that I enjoyed to the maximum. 28.09.2012

Bottle 750ml. @ 4th Borefts Beer Festival 2012, Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands.
Clear dark brown colour with virtually none head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, dark chocolate, moderate hoppy. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet, light acidic and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, dark malt - ash bitter - sour, malt bitter bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.
Pours dark black with little to no head. Aroma is definitely dark roasted coffee and chocolate. Wow!!! Coffee on the tongue with a smooth dark chocolate/ toffee and in the very end I get a light heat from the peppers. Overall this is a great complexed beer although I never like beer with peppers brewed in it, this is the perfect amount of heat and is a great addition. Bottle, 75cl. It pours a more or less jet black body and a small, dense dark beige head. The aroma is on the coffee side, not much else shines through. Also the flavor is on the coffee side, but there’s also some dark chocolate. A touch of spices too, although I don’t think there’s any added. Full body, some warming notes. Really lasting finish. A wonderful beer well worth revisiting. 130202 Geokkjer (7627) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - FEB 2, 2013
Bottle. Pours black with an off-white head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, grains and malt. Flavor is sweet and malty with some warming alcohol, soya sauce and caramel. medium to full body, average carbonation.
