Pours pitch black with a small tan ring. Smells strongly of coffee. Taste is coffee, coffee, and coffee with a little bit of smoke. Full-bodied with a smooth texture and very soft mouth-carbonation, Jester King/Mikkeller Weasel Rodeo finishes with a subtle booziness.

Wow! Damn near a 50 point beer. Aroma of roasted malts, sweet chocolate, dark dried fruits, cherries, light spice and coffee. Taste is a nice mix of roasted coffee, sweet chocolate, vegetal peppers, light sourness/spiciness and a good well balanced bitterness into the finish... Absolutely one of the best beers I’ve had 5o date as the slick mouthfeel on this beer makes it unreal!

Bottle at Borefts BeerFest 2012. Pitch black - brown edges. Oiley thick body, fruity, ok hoppy, high malty, coffee, chocooate, dark chocolate, light light chili bite, fullbodied, light smokey. Lovely.

UPDATED: NOV 30, 2015 One of my favorite beesr. A mocha coffee nose with a thinner but sustained head. A noticeable coffee flavor up front followed by rich malts. After it goes down a light chipotle sizzle can be felt on the tongue. Amazing palate. Must be tried- preferably on tap at the brewery, but bottles suffice.

Beerenberger (1605) - Fischer, Texas, USA - OCT 25, 2012
A strong coffee nose, with hints of chocolate and dark fruit. A flat opaque black pour with a mostly diminishing tan head and no lacing. The taste is strong bitter coffee with hints of chocolate, dark fruit sweetness and smoke. There is a bit of alcohol in the finish and a pleasingly slight peppery aftertaste. Full boddied with flat carbonation. Overall, this a rich complex multilayered stout that is worth sampleing again and again!
