Bottel @ BBF 12.
Pour pitch black, with very small brown bubbly head. Aroma is of chocolate, slight coffee, some hops. A lot of charcoal and whiskey as well. The taste is pretty sweet, med a whole lot of bitterness. Some slight spicy notes towards the end, giving this beer that little something extra. Average body, with a slight fizzy carbonation. bierkoning (13894) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - OCT 4, 2012
From bottle @ Borefts 2012. Almost black, opague. Malt, roast, chocolate, oak and bourbon in the aroma. Malty sweet roasty flavor, boozy with whisky notes and some raw alcohol. Not a trace of the peppers, I’m glad to say. madsberg (11841) - Søborg, DENMARK - OCT 2, 2012

The taste of wood, vanilla, roasted malt, dark fruits and alcohol. The aftertaste is bitter of roasted malt, burny of alcohol. jackl (8597) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - OCT 2, 2012
From bottle @ Borefts 2012. The pour’s deep brown with no head whatsoever. The nose is big time whiskey, strong wood, sugar and light vanilla. Boozy sweetness. The taste is much the same, with strong wood, shocks of vanilla bean and roasted chocolate malts. Nice. Big body, oily. Overall, a pretty good imperial stout. I just think that the whiskey dominates this beer a bit too much. It’s hard to discern more subtle flavors.
