Bottle @ 2nd tuesday tasting. Aroma is slight funk, yeast and spices. Flavour is light sweet yet dry, some fruity notes, quite strong hop bitterness, some spice. Nice.

UPDATED: JAN 10, 2014 Golden body and stable white head. Please leave the yeast. Sharp hops, light malts, grassy hops. Taste is a bit disappointing to be honest, fresh and grassy with some funk but also Astringent. Overall it feels like a great attempt but never convinces. (At Colin?s De Molen tasting) Re-rate : Golden body. Light funk, mild classic herbal aroma, very farmy. Soft bitterness, floral fresh sharp notes, light pilsner malts. Superb and smoothly accessible. Excellent beer, but make it your first. (On tap at the brewery)

Bottle. Pours a clear to hazy golden beer with a frothy white head. Aroma is spiced with light citric notes. Very nice, balanced brew. Flavor is medium sweet with dry finish. Decent brew!

At monthly De Molen Tasting. Hazy opaque yellow, medium sized off-white head. Smell and taste slightly malts, lightly hops, some fruits, fruitpeel, slightly a sour hint. Quite balanced. Nice beer.

Bottle @ 2nd tuesday tasting at De Molen, hosted by dEnk. Clear golden pour, thin white head. Aroma is somewhat hoppy, citrus, spicy and somewhat funky. Flavor is slightly funky, hoppy and spicy. Subtle and well balanced. Lovely brew.

Hazy light amber. White head. Some hops, but not much aroma. Taste us bitter, some hops, yeast nothing extraordinary. Just ok.

Hazy dark gold with a huge thick white head. Awesome lacing with the head sticking around. Pilsner malt, noble hops and a rustic Belgian yeast note on the nose. The malt comes through first with some hop bitterness, funky yeast, muddled spice, light pepper and an unpleasant aspirin note. The body is on the lighter side of medium with high prickly carbonation. Aside from the aspirin note in the flavor, this is very good.

Appearance: Pours a bright cloudy amber gold with a retaining white cap of tight foam.

Aroma: Bright Euro hops, bread dough and light spices.

Taste: Spicy bitter hops, spicy yeast with some floral notes. Finishes more yeasty than hoppy.

Mouthfeel: Full bodied modest carbonation.

Overall: This beer was decent, but nothing I would go out of my way to try again. It’s jut not one of my favorite styles of beer. It was well executed, just not my bag.

Nose is quite a bit of funk... with pilsner malt, maybe some rope and hay with dank hops. Carbonation is very strong and somewhat thin. Pitch white. Color is a golden hazy hue. Great head retention. Also has quite a bit of sediment floating. Which was also in the top of the bottle. Mouthfeel is average. Slight spicy note going down which lingers on the back. Also some sour notes on the after... Lots of depth to this beer. Reminds me a lot of Boulevard tank 7. Probably more character and slightly more dense though. Not sure why that gets zero credit and this gets a ton. Both are excellent beers.

Bottle at bitter virtue from cotteridge wines.
pours hazy amber with slight white head. Herbal earthy hop nose. Dry with light carbonation and hop bite. Just what I want in a session saison. Yum.
