(330ml bottle) clearish bright purple, no real bubbles. Nose of gin, blackberry, peppery, juniper, tons of barrel, complex and neat. Taste of gin, blackberry, oak, barrel, juniper, herbals, rich and complex, not really sour or tart, just a delicious spirit-based fruit beer. Low carbonation and lots of flavor. Bottle shared at RBSG. The beer is a hazy purple with a pinkish head. The aroma has notes of gin at first. Lemon, pine, herbal, but then the blackberries come through. Bottle sampled at RBSG. Pours a hazy dark reddish brown color with a small off white head. The aroma had tart dark fruits/berries, oak, noticeable gin character, some acidity and funk. Dark purple hue, no head, aroma of juniper berries, gin, blackberries, floral notes... The addition of gin barrel tones does more in the way of juniper and less your typical pine needles from barrels... Flavor is even more complex than the original, I think it adds even more to the base beer then sherry does to atrial... Lots of blackberry jam, floral, pine, juniper notes... Gin barrel notes on palate.. Delicious

Poured side by side with Batch 3 Nocturn Chrysalis and Batch 7 of the Revolution Spirits Austin Reserve Gin that was put into the barrels jester king used for this beer.
Aroma was strong on Rosemary and Juniper very floral beer and a noticeable difference over regular Nocturn.
No head, maybe a hair darker in appearance than the regular nocturn we opened, little light was passing through the beer.
Medium sourness big punch of rosemary up front, middle was mostly juniper blackberries and peppercorn, typical jester king jammy fruit finish
Thick mouthfeel, lingering finish.

UPDATED: JUL 20, 2016 Bottle thanks to Jonathan. Pours a cloudy purple with small off white head that lasts. Th aroma is strong juniper, rosemary, berry, funk, oak. Medium body, nice berry, light jam as it warms, juniper, rosemary, light oak, really enjoyed this.
