Blend #2 from 2017. Pours a hazy copper red from the bottle with bubbly white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of big jammy berry notes over a funky middle and lactic finish. Taste follows, clean and super easy, with lots of bog fruit notes, minimal barrel, a touch of sweetness there. Pretty darn solid.

Had this at Where The Wild Beers Are VII (2016). Pours a hazed amber ruby with a thin white head. Long cocoa, acid on the nose. Chewy acid, funk, a hint of clay.

Finally getting around to trying this one: pours a slightly hazy coppery color with off-white head. Berries, funk, tartness, and some light yeasty notes on the nose; follows onto the palate. Light bodied and fizzy. Finishes with jammy berry flavors along with a nice slight tart note.

Pours a clear orange (onion skin?) with a small white head that leaves some lacing. Nose is cheesy, oaky with some definitive oxidative/sherry notes (nutty, earthy). Taste is fruity and lightly citric but it doesn’t come out as harsh since there is a good counteracting sweetnesd too. Blackberries. Body is medium and carbonation low providing for a vinous mouthfeel. A pretty nice and subtle sherry influenced beer, I think I’m starting to really like these now!

Bottle (750 ml). Shared by Sam, thanks! Hazy pinkish-orangey with no head and no lacing. Aroma is quite herbal with leafy raspberries, floral notes, mild earthy presence, oak, mild oxidation notes and mild spiciness. Taste is of raspberry leaves, floral notes, mild spicines, mineral presence, oak and gently tart. Light to medium body. Soft carbonation. Tannic mouthfeel. Herbal and leafy finish. Dry. Delicate and elegant raspberry sour with an interesting herbal/leafy profile and fun mineral notes. I didn’t get much blackberries.
