Bottle shared by GatorGuy92 and PaulUnwin. Cheers, gents! Pours a hazy yellow with a white head. Nose is sweet malt, fruity yeast, and banana with some yeast. Flavor is similar with sweet malt, fruity yeast, some banana, some fruit, and a dry finish. Medium in body and lingering Belgian yeast in the finish. This poured a dark Ruby red with a beige head. Aroma was caramel, dark fruit and Belgian yeast and spice notes. Flavor similar, mild wolfish funkish taste. OK but nothing I’d go after again

Got in a trade with Cyde. 750 ml bottle into signature tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours very hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big pear, apple, grape, lemon zest, clove, pepper, floral, grass, light pine, hay, light funk, leather, and spicy yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of hop and yeast ester notes, with a fair amount of malt balance; and good strength. Taste of lemon zest, pear, apple, grape, clove, pepper, bread, wheat, light honey, floral, grass, hay, leather, light funk, and earthy yeast spiciness. Light earthy pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon zest, light fruits, pepper, clove, floral, grass, hay, wheat, bread, light funk, and earthy yeast spiciness on the finish for a while. Nice balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast flavors with moderate hop and malt notes; with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a slick, fairly crisp, and earthy mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with only a small warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very good saison style. Good balance and complexity of malt, hop, and fruity/spicy yeast ester flavors; and very smooth and crisp to sip for the ABV. A nicely enjoyable offering. wedgie9 (2702) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 12, 2013
Tasted on 8/12/13 from a capped 750mL bottle sent to me as an extra in a trade. Pours cloudy orange with a massive off-white head that slowly recedes to average lace. The nose is full of light caramel malt, spicy, somewhat funky yeast, and some light hops underlying. The flavor is the same, with decent sweetness and some bitterness balancing it out, and the same dry and spicy yeast. The body is full with average, stinging carbonation, and a long lightly sweet brown sugar and spicy yeast finish. ClubGonzo (5670) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUL 26, 2013
Bottle. Pours a dark hazy orange body with a big rocky white head. Aroma is wheat, caramel, citrus, white wine, farmhouse/saison yeast, hints of herbs, spruce and floral honey. Taste is nuts, wheat, caramel, biscuits, herbs, licorice, hints of grains, farmhouse yeast and grapes. Full body, high carbonation. Intriguing stuff, very original and tasty as well.

Bottle @ a recent tasting... Poured hazy golden/yellow with a thick white head. Straight forward, easy drinking with big citrus tones and yeast esters along with some floralness. Some effervescent fruit and yeast characters stuck around on this one with a mild funk at the start and the finish. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 6, 2013
Bottle, over a year old at this point. Pours a bright and clear light copper body with a beautiful one inch frothy bright white head that left lots of lacing. Nice light visible carbonation. Very bright and inviting looking. The nose is pale malt, some nice light slightly sweet esters with a heavy yeast influence. Very subtle and delicate aroma, not overpowering in any specific quality, just light and airy, despite the slightly noticeable alcohol. The flavor is pretty heavy in the malt, yet it still feels very light and delicate with a lot of liveliness. There’s a light hoppiness that’s still in here, but it’s very subtle and light with minimal bitterness. This is all about the interplay between the malt and yeast by products instead of the hops that the commercial description talks about. Despite the heavy alcohol, this still seems way lighter than your average 9% beer. Lingering sweet honey maltiness with a light hoppiness. Fizzy and spritzy carbonation level adds to the lightness and lack of alcohol heat. This is a really nice beer, goes to show that a little cellar time sometimes does good things for some of these heavy Belgian style beers. crossovert (12943) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 28, 2013
