COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A golden colored, high gravity (O.G. 1.074) ale, brewed with pilsner, wheat and caramunich malts, along with a good dose of American hops and fermented with Jester King’s farmhouse yeast, finishing at 9.3% alcohol by volume. It is a hop forward beer with dank, resinous hop flavor and aroma, balanced by lightly kilned malt flavors, farmhouse yeast esters and a bit of warming alcohol.

Bottle:   Caramel colored, thick and hazy, large pillowy off-white head, nice lacing.   Fruity caramel like breadiness aroma.   Not your traditional Belgian Strong Ale in that it seems more like a Belgian Imperial Blonde or simply a Belgian Ale.   Dull mealiness up front, strong soft bready flavors.   Very yeasty.   Not your traditional Belgian Strong Ale in that it has that dark pitted fruit aspect.   This one is lighter.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finish is musty and barnish, but without much light or dark fruitiness.   As far as Belgian Strong Ales go, this is very average.   Doesn’t have the depth that most do in this style.   Decent otherwise.   Thanks Bill!

750 ml bottlepoured a hazy gold with alasting creamy ivory head. Aromas of bread, citrus, light pine, light earthiness and light peach. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, grapefruit, lemon zest and light earthiness with a crisp dry bitter lingering citrus finish.

Nose has heavy grain and floral hops. Flavor has an interesting floral & earthy character. Dry and a bit bitter. Slightly harsh.

Hazy gold color with ivory head. Earthy dank hop, pine hop, spicy yeast aromas .medium body with average co2. Nice hoppy pine, spicy, earthy, yeasty citrus flavors on a solid pale malt base--good

Acquired in a trade just yesterday. Enjoyed in my trusty Harpoon glass at room temperature.

A - Bronze cloudy appearance. Huge carbonation of 4 fingers of creamy white puffy head. Excellent lacing and head retention although maybe TOO much head retention.

S - I get some pine, honey and citrus on the nose. Hints of pineapple.

T - I’m getting great tropical / sweet American hops, hints of wheat and honey. There’s some pine cone notes, candi sugar and oranges. It’s a very complex beer with this really nice alcohol booziness on the finish.

M - 80% carbonation, medium body and boozy finish. I was expecting dry champagne finish but it finishes more like a watered down whisky.

O - This is a great tasting beer. One that I could sip on all day.

Cloudy yellow, huge white head. Smells like melon, pepper and honey. Melon, pepper and honey are pretty much the main players in the flavor, as well. simple, but very tasty. Awesome label, as well. Trade with rougeau13 - thanks!

750 thanks to SPDickerman. Big yeasty saison/farmhouse. Orange and zest in aroma and body. Cloudy. This is a yeast bomb. Not dry at all. But tasty.

750ml bottle pours a hazy, dark yellow with some cloudy white head. Fruity, sticky nose. Flavor is the same. Full bodied finish. Not the best.

Bottle-purchased at a HEB in San Antonio, TX-pours lightly hazy orange with a rocky white head with lite lacing. nose is very floral, probably from the hops that were used in the dry-hopping process. however, the hop qualities are fairly subdued and diminished, making this a very floral nose, melding well with the beer. lite lemons, lite barnyard character, lite banana. flavors are lovely-spicy hops, lite lemons, lite papaya and some pineapple along with the spicy hops. Im sure when this was fresh, it was a hop bomb, along the lines of La Choffe. Slight sweet malt husks show up on the finish with some lite bitterness. Cool brew that i would like to have fresh on tap sometime.
