Slow gusher. Light hazy orange with a big and lasting off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and rather hoppy - peach and grapefruit. Flavor is quite sweet and very bitter. Rather dry and very bitter finish. Could have used a little more sweetness for balance. 240212 fiulijn (20493) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 9, 2013
Bottle shared at Pibar, Lausanne
Cloudy amber color, with dull hue, and large frothy head (the bottle is a slow gusher). The aroma is very nice, fresh hops, with light spicy character and a touch of cedar. Still too much carbonation, having an impact on the mouthfeel; malt flavor, with strong spicy character, leaning to cardamom and cedar; strong bitterness, with plenty of good hop resins, and some hop fruitiness, bitter oranges; long final.
Complex, not elegant, but very interesting.
