Unique in taste. The secret lies in the water, which is still taken from the same well used well over 100 years ago. The water from our well is unusually pure and soft. That allows us to add a touch more hops to create the Friesian-bitter taste that distinguishes Jever Pilsner from any other beer.

Mysteriously low RB rating... this is simply one of the best hoppy pilsners in the world! Dry and crisp, with a refreshing hoppiness and long aftertaste, fresh and clean with hints of mineral (due to the Friesland water used) and some grassiness. Attractive, firm white head. A perfect beer to just enjoy, slowly on its own, or with spicy food. A lot better on tap in Germany than from an exported bottle.

Całkowicie nic specjalnego. Wszystko czego można się spodziewać po koncernowym pilsie - tu jest. Goryczka jak z zepsutych przypraw, masło, potworna ilość CO2, w smaku niewiele co. Ot, takie tam Niemieckie Tyskie.

From a beer hawk mystery case. Nice clean sharp taste with a long bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Jevertypischer muffiger Antrunk, herber grasiger Krper mit der extra Hopfenbittere im Abgang. Der Wiedererkenungswert ist mit dem Becks vergleichbar.

Bottle from Beerhawk. Pours clear light gold with plenty bubbles and a thick white head. Aromas gentle with citrus a little spicy herb and a sweet maltiness. Flavours lead with the caramel and fresh peppery herb which blends into a gentle earthy bitterness. A nice soft and light body with a crisp fizzy sparkle. Very nicely balanced and very refreshing.

Tap at Wildeman, pours a clear gold with white head. Notes of dry grain, floral and semi spicy hops, water, crisp malt and other brewing infnredients. A bit too light and drying/peppery in the mouth but I could still crush pils all day

What can I say - there is no point in describing this beer, as there are already hundreds of descriptions available. The low overall score was a bit surprising to me as Jever is a really decent pilsener, probably one of the best ones out here. This bitter aroma and taste "the Frisian bitter" is exactly what I want from a light and refreshing beer. It is the best drink after a sauna, high-intensity training session, after a day of hard physical work... A strong imperial stout would not go in these situations at all :) A good beer doesnt have to be always extraordinary but it has to be tasty, with a nice aroma and nice feeling. And Jever pilsener has all those qualities.
