COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
As the sun arcs low in the mid day sky, this year’s harvest is slowly fermenting in its winter slumber.

Everyone here at the Orchard enjoys a few halcyon days to remember the hard work in the last year’s harvest. We look forward to next year’s crop of apples.

To warm ourselves in the cold northern solstice we enjoy our winter cider. Lightly spiced with ethically traded cinnamon, vanilla and a wee drop of syrup from our old Maple trees on our farm.

Enjoy this wonderful cider cool or gently warmed, savor a tipple to reflect on your last year and bountiful new year beginning.

Pours a straw-colored yellow with considerable cloudiness. Aroma is primarily of maple syrup and secondarily of apples--definitely sweet. Taste is, first and foremost, sweet. The flavor of the apple is evenly matched by the additions of vanilla, cinnamon, and maple syrup, each of which is discernible. Alcohol is noticeable and becomes more so as the cider warms. But even when cool to cold, the cider is extremely flavorful. In spite of this sweetness, there’s a certain dryness where the cider itself is concerned--quite crisp. Mouthfeel is lively, with tingly carbonation--just about what you’d expect for a cider. In sum, this may be the best cider I’ve tried. Now, I know that the additions of the vanilla, cinnamon, and syrup don’t make for the most "authentic" cider. Whatever. This is seriously flavorful, and while some may find the sweetness too cloying (entirely possible), you’d be missing out on something special if you passed this one by.

couldn’t place the sweetness as maple...this seemed to be a lightly barrel aged sweet leaning cider, with hints of spice and vanilla, with any farmhouse character relegated to the background. Unique cider, and a nice seasonal. Drinks big.

Bottle. Cloudy gold. Aroma of maple syrup and vanilla. At first there is a little funk to adjust to. Quite sweet. Vanilla and maple syrup are obvious. Yeah very sweet but i like it. My wife found the amount of sweetness offputting.

Bottle. Cinnamon, maple/vanilla, sour apple, and straw aroma. Golden yellow. Very sweet maple, light cinnamon, apple juice and lightly bitter straw flavor. Nice body. Very sweet but nice.

This is a fantastic, high grade ballistic sweet chop of apples and funk. Rich, bordering on decadent. A nice after dinner drink I would think. A bit like a lighter ice cider.

Aroma is textbook apple pie filling: cinnamon, sweet baked apple, vanilla. Everything but the crust. Taste is the same, dominated by browned apple caramel. I think a lot of people would call it too sweet but for me it was like a nice brown cider with color to match. Will have again at holidays.

Geez, I had really high hopes for this one given how good the scrumpy northern gold was. But I’m not picking up the vanilla or maple here at all

Bottle at BCS. Aroma is great. Apples, light funk, spice. Initially get the cinnamon but it is overwhelmed later. Taste is lovely, firstly apples, then sweetness, vanilla, pfeffernusse, rich and fruity. Little bit of spice but very smooth. Low carbonation. Really nice!

Bottle shared by Tmoney99 from old notes. Pours a hazy light golden color with a few random bubbles. The aroma and flavor have fresh, sweet apple, mild cinnamon spice, a hint of maple syrup, honey, this is a bit better than many ciders, but....

I found this today at a local grocery store in the mountains and couldn’t believe there was a JK there! The cider runs very sweet similar to an Angry Orchard Muse or Iceman but retains much of the flavors like some of the unfiltered Finnriver or deluxe Crispin. The maple is very distinct in it where it almost has a caramel flavor to it. I highly recommend this if you’d like to try a naturally sweet cider that isn’t as processed as many of the ones on the general market and is organic :)
