Pint Pub, Helsinki (old backlog, thanks to Mankke & co for sharing.) Amber colour, small off-white creamy head. Aroma is toasted malts, some caramel malts, mild toffee and some berries. Flavour is berries, some caramel malts, toasted malts as well as some earthy notes. Balanced. I wonder if the 7 % is something theoretical, didn’t feel that big, even though it was quite well bodied.
330ml bottle (One Pint Pub, Helsinki, Spanish Weeks 2011)
6 Slightly sharp, but some good roasted grains.
4 Slightly hazy rich caramel.
6 Slightly sour dark berry, some caramelly sweetness. Fairly full roast.
3 Full body, sweetish and a little sticky, lively carbonation. Finish quite husky and with earthy bitterness.
11 Very solid dunkel, shame about the sour aspects. Didn’t realise it was 7% when drinking it - it covers that pretty well.
