3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft sample at the source. The beer is a clear yellow with a white head of foam. Bready and doughy taste. Sweet. Light body and medium carbonation.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Medium body, moderate flavor, avg length.
Sweet, moderately bitter, good acidity, a bit unbalanced towards sweetness.
Yeasty, bready, little noble hops, not my idea of a Pilsner.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: APR 9, 2015
Location: Draft at the Union Station brewpub (Providence), 3/28/15
Aroma: The nose is pale malts, some straw and adjunct notes as well.
Appearance: This one is clear gold in color, with an average sized white head, and decent lace.
Flavor: It has a pretty similar flavor, not a ton here, lightly sweet, malty, mild bitter.
Palate: This one actually has a nice feel, it is pretty easy drinking, clean, and not watery.
This is a decent one for a light lager. There isnít a ton here, but it works well from a feel perspective and it looks pretty nice.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap @ Union Station Brewery with Erica earlier today in Providence. Hazy gold pour with a pilsy nose. Clean palate with notes of straw and tiny hop bitterness. Good for the style.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Golden pour with a tight white head. Aroma is sweet, crisp malt. Flavor is much the same, sweet, a bit corny, malt and a nice clean finish. Not bad for a pale lager but definitely not great

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
On tap at brewhouse. Pours a clear golden color with a thin head with little lacing. Smell is mostly malty sweetness, with hints of honey. Taste is mostly malty with a very light hoppy bitterness in the background. Crisp, with a good level of carbonation and a dry finish.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
At the Union Station in Providence - Called Northern Light Lager. Brewer says it is a different receipe than John Harvards. I couldnít make out any real scent. Week feeling, very light. Maybe a little hop taste, but more watery than hop. Would not try again.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
July 2005 - This didnít even have enough color to look like urine. Poured yellow cloudy water with no head. Taste had a touch of sweetness that wouldnít have been half bad if it was a little fuller. This beer had absolutely no bite...like they forgot the hops entirely...didnít even have the typical lager bite. Blah.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tap at the Lake Grove location: Very pale golden pour with a fading white head. Has a simple straw aroma. Very light bodied; crisp and clean. Pale malt back, with a late & subtle hop grainyness. Decent example of the style. (A style which does not demand much)

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Two draught pints at Wayne, PA location on 10/06/06
Clear light, hay-yellow body is pretty standard, with a flurry of carbonation at first and a small, fully dissipating white head that leaves no lacing.
Very weak aroma is faintly grassy, sort of mossy as well, with a sticky sort of fruitiness that combines with light powdered sugariness to rather repel the senses. Not a whole lot going on, things just seem sort of stagnant and dominated by water and plain old two row. No yeast apparency and no diacetyl in the nose.
Touch of cardboard/paperiness is apparent right away, with a hint of buttercream and light corn-like sweetness. Itís all rather subtle though, and mostly covered by water and grainy malt that is mostly attenuated. Hops are minimal, with just a hint of dustiness and dry grass. Soggy, with heavily loosening carbonation, but overall, at least the malt is still there and there are no glaring flaws. Could stand to be lagered longer. Bit of sharpness on the end.
