Tap at brewery I’m pretty hungover so this beer helped with recovery quite a bit. Golden pour. Faint nose of pils and citrus. Tastes of light lemons, malt and dusty hops. Watery palate and easy drinking.

[on tap at Union Station brewpub] Caramel and butterscotch (diacetyl) aroma with very faint citrus (Ringwood?). Very slightly hazy orange-copper under a white patch and ring of fine bubbles. Unexpectedly very dry and slightly sour toffee that is dominated by a faintly astringent bitterness. No hops flavour. Diacetyl accent. Light body, moderate to medium carbonation, lingering astringency.

On tap at the brewery. Clear yellow pour with a white head. Smells like a Marzen. Corn and pilsner hop notes. Bland and lifeless. Not much going on here.

Draft @ Union Station, Providence, R.I. Shaker glass showed a clear golden color with a thin ring of head. REALLY basic in aroma and flavor. Nose is malt with a biscuit type aroma. The malt flavor is balanced well with a floral type hop. Lighter in body. Standard and pleasant. I got what I wanted after a long night of drinking. This was my recovery brew with lunch.

On tap @ Union Station Brewery with Erica earlier today in Providence. Dark orange/amber pour. Citrusy nose and a neutral, thin palate. A little dry, kind of nondescript but good underlying sweet malt profile.

Draft at Providence brewpub. Bright golden and beautifully active. This has a bit of a malty edge, but it is quite drinkable and easy going. (#4236, 8/25/2011)
