On tap in Framingham. Lot’s of spice but not much beer flavor. Left a bad aftertaste in my mouth. I’m glad I only had a small glass of it.
From tap at the Harvard location. Pours hazy dark orange with a small tan head. Aroma is spiced and caramelish malty. Sweet caramelish, nutmeg and cardemomme. Medium dry, spiced and caramelish into a cookie like finish. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - DEC 27, 2009

Had this one on draught at the brewpub in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Billed as "Harvard Spiced Ale." Cloudy, deep red pour with a foamy tan head, cinnamon and clovey nose, very nutmeggy and clove in the taste, spicey finish. This was awesome! kp (10880) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - SEP 1, 2007

Aroma: 5/10; Appearance: 5/10; Flavor: 5/10; Palate: 5/10; Overall: 10/20
The score was calculated based upon the notes and an old scoring system.
The unexpected rim of brown sugar on my glass certainly affected the aroma and taste of this one. This was very sweet, with lots of spice like cinnamon and nutmeg. Overall, the flavor wasn’t horrible and fit right with the name. The body was thin and watery. chriso (7536) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 14, 2004
Reddish colour. Very spicy, majoring on cinnamon and nutmeg. Fortunately, there was no brown sugar on the rim here, which is just as well as it was sweet enough already. Not unpleasant, but the spice overwhelmed any other characteristics that the beer may have possessed and it came over as a bit unintegrated and unbalanced. On tap at John Harvard’s, Washington DC.
