Tap at Cambridge location. Cloudy yellow, minimal head. A well-balanced banana clove offering. Very good mouthfeel; silky-smooth. VENOM (941) - Connecticut, USA - JUL 27, 2002
Draft in Manchester, CT. Cloudy peach. Creamy white head. Medium light body. Smooth and crisp. Apples and bananas and light citrus, sans lemon slice. Mild fruit notes. Sharper and cleaner than expected but a good example. cheap (5966) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 3, 2007
UPDATED: JUL 11, 2008 On tap at the Monroeville location and was listed as ’Heine’s Hefeweizen’. Nice banana and spice aroma with hints of bubble gum perhaps. Cloudy and unfiltered. Tart banana in flavor. No bitterness to speak of, I cannot detect any hops in this brew as stated in the description. Very nice and fruity. Rather enjoyable and refreshing. A well made easy to enjoy brew. Very friendly. This beer has more banana in it than I’ve ever tasted in a brew. Good creamy carbonation. Overall I was very pleased with this JH brew. Finish is pleasant and easy to get along with. One of the better hefes I’ve had. Volgon (2763) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - JUL 7, 2002
On Tap 7/6/02 Cambridge, MA: As I saw it listed on the chalkboard, I thought that it would be a typical American wheat. Lucky this was much more German in style. Weak, but nice banana/clove aroma, hazy yellow color, bold flavor, ends a little acidic. It comes with a lemon by default, so let them know that you don't swing that way. Hefeweizen is the only style that I consider it acceptable to add lemon to. This one pours very heady, with a nice lemon, yeast, and coriander aroma. The taste is citrusy, yeasty, and crisp. The finish is smooth and a little sour, with banana flavor. Very complex.

Tasted in DC. Malty spice like scent. Strong banana and clove scent also. Light yellow colour, cloudy, small white foamy head. Good lacing. Strong banana and spice flavour. PWalk (337) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 19, 2005
Pretty decent Hefe here. A little more yeast than I expected. Banana and clove aroma throughout.
Springfield, PA location. Dogbrick (13407) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - AUG 22, 2006
Sample at the Pittsburgh location. Surprisingly clear golden color with a medium and frothy white head, and patchy lacing. Aroma of bananas and wheat. Light body with a wheat and yeast flavor, along with some fruit and zesty spice. The finish is midly hoppy with more banana in the aftertaste. Nothing stands out as particularly good or bad about this beer. ericnixon (746) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 23, 2003
On tap in Cambridge, MA. One of my least-favorite styles of beer, but i didn't mind this one so much. It wasn't overpowering at all, kinda mellow, actually. mine didn't come with a lemon wedge (yay!). Nate (4279) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 10, 2005
As Hefe and 1/2 Weizen at Monroelville location. Decent banana clove aroma, mild wheat and yeast. Some citrus and lactic tang. Medium golden amber, like butterscotc. Hazy, withthin lacing head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Starts with medium carbonic acidity, some banana and bubblehum. Decent sweetness and good yeasty taste, but finish is a bit harsh, with chalky bitterness and saltiness. Decent hefe but a bit harsh.
