On tap at John Harvard’s in Framingham, MA. This beer was not too much different from their Pale Ale. It was slightly hoppier. OK for an IPA. ROGUE (2215) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - DEC 28, 2009
On tap at brew house. Pours a dark copper with a two finger off white head. Citrusy hops aroma with a touch of spice. Taste has a malt backbone followed by smooth piney and floral hops, along with notes of citrus and spice. Finishes with a mellow hop bitterness.

Draft at the Wayne location. Clear amber/ golden body with decent size head. Aroma is of citrus, hops. Flavor had a nice spice to it, hops - citrus - grapefruit. Very sweet with a decent mouthfeel. Smooth. Dogbrick (13018) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - AUG 23, 2006
Sample at the Pittsburgh location. This beer is a dark gold/copper color with a minimal off-white head. Very little lacing. Citrusy hops aroma with a touch of spice. Medium-bodied with a good amount of hops flavor, along with citrus and spices. The finish is where the beer comes up a little short. It is on the watery side and not as hoppy as the taste and smell. There is a light hops and spice aftertaste. This is fairly good aside from the weak finish.

Taster on tap at brewpub; on cask. Great aroma....very hoppy. Good IPA, great hops with a nice balance. OlivierMTL (709) - Quebec, CANADA - JUN 23, 2005
Corps d’épaisseur semi mince, carbonatation piquante. Une autre IPA plutôt banale. En fut à la brasserie, le 17 Juin 2005. DocLock (10702) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 25, 2005
Hazy copper pour with aroma of hops, some citrus and spice. Tastes hoppy, but with balanced malt and citrus. Smooth palate. carboloader (674) - Houston, Texas, USA - APR 20, 2005
On draught at John Harvard’s in Cambridge MA. It was labeled on the chalkboard as "Old Willy’s IPA" so I’m hoping this is the same brew. Pours a murky amber with little head. Very hoppy and citrusy aroma. Flavor is mostly hops, but not as in your face as some. A very drinkable session IPA. Nice bitter finish. I ended up back here 3 out of 4 nights during a recent visit to Boston, just for the atmosphere and this tasty IPA. Nate (4279) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 10, 2005
Draught sampler, Pittsburgh. Fruity grapefruit ozone aroma, light sweetness and malt. Big hop nose. Opaque medium amber-orange with no head. Medium-heavy watery body with medium carbonation. Starts fruity and bitter, nice strong ale profile. Grapefruit and ozone. Light caramel sweetness and bitter, bitter hits. Finish is bitter and light chalky. Dry bitter after, big on hops.
