A dark reddish brown ale with a thin off white head. A light burned caramel aroma. In mouth, a lightly peated malt with agressing nuttyness, light lactic notes. A bit cloying. Medium bodied. On tap at brewpub, Inbièrenationale IV, May 2007. Cletus (6355) - Connecticut, USA - FEB 8, 2009
Freshly tapped cask at the Manchester CT location. Pours a lighter brown than the draught version and slightly muddy with a very fine head. Smells of tea, nuts, sweet malt, brown sugar and some spices. Taste is sweet with some spicy hints. Mouthfeel is full with a sweet finish. It’s experiments like these that make brewpubs like these so much fun to visit. jcwattsrugger (12418) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JUL 13, 2008
