Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark roasted, burnt. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100803]

From cask. Pours dark brown to black with a small off-white head. Aroma is roasted malt, sweet and breadish. Flavour is the same with a small Sweet, roasted and malty breadish. Sweet finish.

Cask at GBBF 2010. A black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt as well as lighter notes of milk. The flavor is sweet malty with notes caramel and roasted malt.

UPDATED: AUG 27, 2007 Sampled on draft at the Monroeville PA location this beer poured a black color with a large creamy brown head. The aroma is lightly roasty but otherwise insubstantial. The flavor is moderately roasty, lightly smoky and has a light floral hop presence. Wholly forgettable.
