Manchester CT locale... Clear gernet color with a small head (Bartender error?) Smokey dark chocolate aroma that is faint. Great start, chocolately flavors, mild bitterness. Middle and finish really waters out. I gues this matches the style pretty well, a good easy drinking beer. motelpogo (7704) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - AUG 17, 2004
not so bad, brown amber, aroma of toffee apple and peanut skin. reasonably hard, quite sweet, drinkable argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - JUN 13, 2004

Tap at Framingham. Brown with reddish tint, small off-white head. Roasted malt aroma, sweet and hints of wine. More of an English style brown, thin to medium body, some nuts and roast. Decent brown.

Very handsome, crystal clear, copper ale. Large, very thick, creamy white head. Excellent, creamy, very full lacework. Leaves behind the same lacing that heavy cream leaves on the side of a dairy bottle. Sort of thin, but the aroma and flavor have some nice, faint notes of caramel and toasted nuts. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Short, lightly bitter, very dry finish. dirtymike (2016) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - NOV 24, 2003

JHBH in Springfield, Delaware County is a fun destination. There are top shelf liquors and wine available, but less than average beer tasting flat at best, seems out of place at this brewpub. BierBauch (784) - Cape Coral Waterfront Wonderland, Florida, USA - AUG 2, 2003
Deep brown with no recognizable head. Aroma of caramel and a slight nuttiness. Started off quite crisp until it settled down and smoothed out a bit. Body is on the light side and flavors could be more intense for this style. Does show some roasted malt and caramel sweetness. Enjoyable and quite drinkable. Manchester, CT. Very impressive brown ale. Very much in the english style. Mild and sweet, with a touch of roastiness and rich estery fruitiness. One of the best examples of the style I've had in ages.
