On tap at the brewpub. Arrived at the table a slightly hazed amber with a thin-moderate linen white head that lasted through the first two sips and left partial lace. The aroma is mild malt and really nothing else. The flavor is almost just as timid as the aroma with mild malt followed by just a bit of oatmeal. A bit more body than a typical amber, which I assume is coming from the oatmeal. Very mild bitterness at the finish. Not a bad beer, but very restrained. clear amber pour with a small white head. Some toasted oat and grassy hop aroma is present but subdued. Flavor is sweet malt, some toasted notes, oatmeal imparts some chocoalte notes. Nice Mouthfeel. Decent amber notalush (5867) - Denver, Colorado, USA - AUG 28, 2008
Kind of thin in flavor and body - the oatmeal adds a bit of thickness, a creamier bodyand a tad more complexity by way of higher sweetness and, surprise, oatmeal - a bit of toasted grain - a tiny bit of bitterness in the finish - just because it’s a session ale doesn’t mean it needs to be this bland. fredandboboflo (1570) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 28, 2008
Tap. Aroma of artificial raspberries?, sweet malt, maybe a touch of oatmeal, maybe just some grain. Flavor of nice sweet-tart malt, some oatmeal, a bit of salt. Nothing remarkable, but solid for me. LilBeerDoctor (3904) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 27, 2008
On tap at JH. Pours a clear amber with a thick white head. Aroma of sweet malt, maybe some oatmeal?? Flavor is bitter initially, followed by wheat and nice sweet malt. Perhaps a little boring, but a good one to slug down. You can’t go wrong with an amber!

Amber colour, thick white head. Aroma is almost non-existant. Lightly grainy with a touch of caramel. I donít get much oatmeal, either in aroma, nor in flavour. Woody, lightly astringent bitterness. Meh. beastiefan2k (3948) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - NOV 16, 2007
Pint pour @ brewpub. I am going to let you guess what the color is... and clear. So the name of this beer is kind of confusing itís definitely an amber but has nothing to do with oatmeal. Aroma is mediocre brew pub standard light generic malt with toasty hops. Same taste, the hops are clearly more defined in the profile. Drinkable, fine, ok, nothing special, there are worse beer, boring, boo, you can do better, eh.
