On tap at brew house. Poured a dark black with a creamy, tan head and decent lacing. Smells of roasted malt and faint chocolate. Taste is roasty with hints of chocolate and coffee. On tap at the Cambridge location (250909). Very dark, very smooth with a creamy head (presumably nitro dispense). Some chocolate with touches of burnt malt. Rather restrained in the flavour department. Quite sweet. Pleasantly drinkable but a bit short of depth of flavour to counterbalance the sweetness.

@Manchester CT–on tap-pours a head of a few bubbles and dark brown color. Aroma is roasty/some chocolate, earthy. Black, whispy tan head producing a bit of disappearing lace, roasted and chocolate aroma, rich roasted malt flavor, touch of chocolate, some oily oatmeal character, non-offensive malt bitterness that slowly grows until it becomes offensive

Dark brown color with mostly lasting, light-brown head. Minimal translucence. Aroma is of faint coffee notes, provided by the burnt malts. Initial taste is sweet, moving quickly to a light bitter finish with a short duration. Beer presence leaves, leaving a chocolate taste. Light on the mouth, it has a watery texture with faint carbonation.

On tap at the Springfield, PA location. On the beer menu as "Uncle Fester’s Oatmeal Stout". Poured a dark brown color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of chocolate and roast. Rating #900...made a trip over to John Harvards in Springfield with my brother-in-law...kind of disappointing overall. This one was the best of the 8 sampler I had. Billed as "Uncle Fester’s Oatmeal Stout. Poured a dark brown with red when held to the light with an average light tan creamy and lightly lacing head. Aroma of chocolate, roast, lactose and light coffee. Flavor of light coffee, roast and cocoa.
