When introspection fails, it’s time to look outward for inspiration, perhaps Northward! One of the people who inspired me this past year is my friend Gabe Fletcher, of Anchorage Brewing Co. We brewed this beer together. I hope it inspires you. Northward!

Warm regards,

A fascinating beer, really great aroma reminiscent of grapefruit juice with a nice acidity but also a sort of brett C funkiness. Taste has light grapefruit juice sweetness without really any of the sort of acidity I expected from the nose, more of a rural farmhouse character. One of the best beers I’ve had from either brewery, honestly.

Thanks Matt! Hazy golden body. Nice spicy vs. malty aroma. Spicy taste, light sourness, dry. Clean and light all in all, well balanced. My notes are vague on this one but I remember liking it!

Complex, very grape fruity wild yeasts. Solid fruity/bittering hops. Good mouthfeel. Very interesting

Bottle - hazy gold - nose of oak, white wine, pepper, pineapple, moderate funk, mild acetic acid - flavor is moderately tart, medium bitter - mild pepper - too heavy on the grapefruit, ending way to heavy on the grapefruit bitterness - a nice oak presence and and pleasantly dry and bitter finish, though - it’s still good, but dial down the grapefruit and it’s a home run.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop was served at a cool temperature and poured a small sized head of frothy large sized white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a typically carbonated body transparent yellow orange colored body and a poor lacing. The mild aroma was mild hop. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a mellow sour aftertaste. The ok flavor contained notes of sour mild hops and malt. A decent one but not one that I would consider drinking again.

Hazy straw pour, tall fluffy white head with great retention, some lacing. Tropical fruit aroma, pineapple, some other spices and floral notes. Flavour goes from similar tropical and citrus fruit punch to a strong dose of brett hay and floral hops. light to medium body with high carbonation, very active mouthfeel.

Bottle shared by omhper, thanks. Big and lasting bright white head. Clowdy yellow color. Fresh pear aroma blended with some citrus aroma. Big almost tart bitterness for a sour ale.
