When introspection fails, its time to look outward for inspiration, perhaps Northward! One of the people who inspired me this past year is my friend Gabe Fletcher, of Anchorage Brewing Co. We brewed this beer together. I hope it inspires you. Northward!

A fascinating beer, really great aroma reminiscent of grapefruit juice with a nice acidity but also a sort of brett C funkiness. Taste has light grapefruit juice sweetness without really any of the sort of acidity I expected from the nose, more of a rural farmhouse character. One of the best beers Ive had from either brewery, honestly.

Hazy straw pour, tall fluffy white head with great retention, some lacing. Tropical fruit aroma, pineapple, some other spices and floral notes. Flavour goes from similar tropical and citrus fruit punch to a strong dose of brett hay and floral hops. light to medium body with high carbonation, very active mouthfeel.

Bottle shared by omhper, thanks. Big and lasting bright white head. Clowdy yellow color. Fresh pear aroma blended with some citrus aroma. Big almost tart bitterness for a sour ale.
