barrelagedluv (65) - Pittsburg, California, USA - NOV 17, 2017
Pours into a tulip snifter like a Pinot, a slightly translucent magenta with virtually non existent lacing. Aroma of apple cider vinegar and berries. The fruity gose tartness and the briny sea salt is counter balanced by an artisanal barrel aging. The unique character of the wood in the finish is long and reminiscent of a good wine. A work of art and an excellent collaboration. cheers Jolly Pumpkin/ Anchorage Brewing!

UPDATED: NOV 2, 2017 Bottle. Bought from the brewery. All these reviews appear to be for the Matamé by Anchorage, not the collab beer, Matamé Ahorita, which is a blueberry sour collab with Ron Jeffries from Jolly Pumkin. As for this beer: Wow. Just fucking wow. Tart, succulent and delicious without being overpowering.
