750ml bottle acquired from The Beer Temple (Chicago, IL). Been in the fridge for awhile, but the mood has struck, Pours a nice harvest golden yellow hue, a subtle haziness, darker golden touch into the middle with bigger cakey whitish head atop. A firm layer sticks around and laces well enough, retains. Aromas are tart, lactic and orange driven. A bit zesty, bitter, pithy with a middling citric and lactic kick. Sour, but not overdone. A bit of harvest and bready grain, yogurt, mellow oak, a subtle spiciness and funk creeps in as it warms up a bit more and settles. Some richer fruity and orange zesty aromas work well, are potent, enjoyable overall. Initial is lighter bodied, a bit flabby with straw, barnyard, bready and grainy malts giving way to a decent sour kick. Citric, fresh, orange zest and some pithy life meet cobwebs, oak, subtle bread and yogurt. More tame, crushable value on the palate. A bit of vanilla, tart lactic tang, bready malts, straw, subtle toastiness and lingering brett as we press on. Clean, light, bright. A pleasant citric and funky flourish as we kick the backend and finish, a flower and dusty appeal, subtle yogurt. Not sour, more tart and spritzy overall, pithy and zesty. A tangy quality that makes this really easy to put down. A really alluring nose, pretty pour, solid flavors and quite a crushability factor. Nice stuff.
