This delicious farmhouse ale is named for our Jack Russell, who struck by a car, bounced back in fine tenacious Jack Russell fashion, and is brewed for those of us who knocked down, have picked up, dusted off and carried on undaunted. Golden, naturally cloudy, bottle conditioned and dry hopped for a perfectly refreshing balance of spicy malts, hops and yeast. Please enjoy our beers in good health, And look both ways when crossing the street!

Batch 859/861 Bottled 8-3-2011 Served in a Duvel Tulip. A - Pours a hazy golden color with a 2 finger head that held up very well. A few droopy lines of lacing. S - Funky basement yeast, spicy, dusty dry grass, pears, sourdough bread, tangy fruit, dank wheat malt, T - Nice tart lemon upfront, allspice, heavy dose of pepper, soured fruit, dried apples and pears, the brett yeast is more subtle than the nose but really compliments the beer. Notes of wood in the background. Finishes dry with a crisp citrus bite at the end. M - Moderate foamy carbonation settles down a bit half way through the glass, light to medium body. Not super complex but great flavors packed into a small ABV. Very impressed by that. The lemon was a tad lactic, plenty of spiciness, solid fruity middle with a dry finish. The aroma was almost perfect for what I want a Saison to smell like. I liked this better than the E.S. Bam. Serving type: bottle 09-15-2012

Draft at The Jolly Pumpkin in Ann Arbor Michigan. A nice clean and crisp ale that perfectly paired with the excellent pizza at the bar/restaurant. Kind of sour but that’s okay.

(Jolly Pumpkin Bam Biere) Tap at Stoom, Nijmegen, served into a teku. Golden yellow colour on the body, clear, with a small and thin white head on top, average retention. Fruity aroma with some yeast and grass, some peach too. Taste is nicely sour with touches of peach, quite fruity, grass. Thin body with soft carbonation. Okay, it seems a bit past its prime.
