3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a cloudy straw color with a huge white foamy head that never really goes down. Sour, yeasty aroma with definite notes of grapefruit and spice. A lot of carbonation on the palate. Flavor is good. Much like the aroma, sour and yeasty. Grapefruit and sour apple. The aftertaste is a bit chalky and sticky. Pretty good beer, though.
Bottle, 375mL. 4.5%. #1800. Purchase ("Biere-revolution.com", FR). Home. A golden light opaque beer with a medium white foamy head ; good retention ; ok lacing. Biscuit, fruits (citrus), wild woody notes (brett aroma I guess), herbal note. Light to medium dry fresh sour, sweet note, light bitter. Light body, thin texture, average carbonation, dry sour lasting finish. Overall, enjoyable ! tightslice (1397) - Redwood City, California, USA - SEP 30, 2017
Bottle from Total Wine in Orlando, FL. Aroma is floral, spicy yeast, fruit (maybe peaches), mild funk, some oak. Taste is dry, crisp, tangy fruit, nice underbelly of brett (but not heavy-handed), nice hoppy-ness as well. Very balanced. Classic stuff. higgsbison (261) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 20, 2017
Sampled in Ann Arbor at their brewery. Its sour aspect OK but way too light.
