On tap during MBF 2010, RBSG. Murky amberish brown stuff. Scents of floral fumes, mild vinegar, some pomegranate, some funk and mustiness and pepper. Neat fruity taste with hints of vinegar, sort of like cherries, earthy, funk and pepper with pleasing sour notes. Interesting yet very forgetful.

sampled at last summers Michigan Brewers Fest - Pours murky light brown with a small head. It smells fruity and sour. The flavor is similar with obvious wild yeast presence, a medium body, and a tart finish. Interesting brew.

Michigan Brewers Guild Summer Festival 2010. Deep amber pour. The nose is fruity and a little bit funky. Fruity and almost cherryish. Earthy and a little bit chewy. Fairly interesting brew. Tart finish.

Funky berry nose with a touch of herbal hops. The taste is lightly sweet, lightly tart and very funky, with lots of pomegranate, some cherry, light flowers and pepper. Finishes with a solid herbal hop bitter note. Nice.

Draft at MBSG 10 during RBSG. Pours a murky brownish copper. Light pink notes in the head. Nose is tart and funky. Light cranberry notes and spice. On taste, a bit muddy. Tart notes from the fruit and some rustic grain notes. Not really very exciting at all and a huge letdown.

Sampled at MBGSF10 - fruity, pomegranate, smooth, light fruity hazy. brownish red. Touch of funky, must. Pretty tasty and they did everything right. Im wondering why this doesnt deserve a higher rating.

MiBG Summer Fest 2010: Very murky reddish brown. Flowery, herbal, slight mineral and earthy esters, some red wine vinegar and pomegranate juice vapours. The taste starts with a light dash of twangy fruit, sour and funk supported by flowery and doughy grains that led to an earthy finish. The mouth feel is slightly chewy and soft, perhaps under carbonated. Blah, I would have rather had a sickly over pomegranate flavored beer than one that is simply boring, muddled. and grainy.

Pouring at the Michigan Brewers Festival during RBSG. Pours a milky brown with a thin beige head. Soft fruit and a little of the Jolly Pumpkin funk, musk. A bit on the thin side, light funk coming through with some malt and toast. Not as much fruit as I would have though, but pomegranate is a rather delicate fruit so I guess I should not have expected to be overwhelmed.
