4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nearly opaque peachy orange. Looks really pretty.
Faint citrus(grapefruit stands out) and funk. Wood.
Sweet, sour, and vinous with lots of citrus and tropical fruit, particularly grapefruit, lemon, passion fruit, and pineapple. Finishes with bitter pink grapefruit and oaky funk. Dry as a bone.
I’d love to get another taste of this, but I doubt I’ll ever see it again. Rats!
Blend 2. Bottled 3-15-2011. Pours clear dark golden color with thin white head. Aromas of lemon, oak, and funk. Sour lemon and oak flavors with some other citrus. Medium body with lively carbonation. Very nice. BuckeyeBoy (7663) - Boise, Idaho, USA - SEP 4, 2016
11.2oz bottle thanks to Toby. Pours out a hazy gold topped with a white head. Nose is great oak citrus sour barnyard brett and some stone fruit. Taste is more of the nice funk fruit tartness. Fritz123 (1535) - Boca Raton, Florida, USA - OCT 7, 2015
At Todd’s bottle share poured into small snifters. Golden haze with some head. Aroma is lemon zest, peach, apricot, and some acedic acid and funk. The taste was super fruit forward with lemon zest, peaches, appricots, pears, and apples. Just the right amount of funk and tartness. Light body, medium to light carb. Finish is not overly tart or acidic. Very very good. GTAEgeek (2217) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - SEP 18, 2015
12 oz. bottle, brought to Ale Alpharetta by Hamp. 2011 Bottle. Pours a hazy, pale yellow, with no head. The nose is tart and bitter lemon peels, sprite, some light resin, some farmyard funk, and a strange note of tar on the finish. Harshly bitter, lightly sour, and nicely dry. Light to medium body, dry and astringent, and a little clingy. Overall, this is a very interesting and complex beer. Light, very dry, but too funky and assertive to be considered ’refreshing’. I’m okay with that, though. Cybercat (5830) - Georgia, USA - SEP 17, 2015
Pours hazy golden with a thin eggshell head. Sour fruit aroma tosses pear, cherry and apple notes with hoppy and malty notes. Flavor starts as sour pomme fruit and adds subtle malt, woody hops and even banana hints. Mouthfeel’s body is average, and fizz is good. Bam bam!

Shared at a tasting hosted by Steebo on February 13. 2011 Vintage. The pour is a bright gold with a big foamy off-white head that falls down quickly. The aroma has a lot of peach and funk. Maybe a little apple as well. The flavor is really tart, sharp, and delicious. There is a ton of peach and apple. The back end holds some really sour lemon. The mouth feel is a little light, and the carbonation seemed to have faded a bit in the few moments it was in the glass, so it fell off a little quicker than I’d like. But the aftertaste is tart, sour, peachy, and a little lemony. Great beer! tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - FEB 13, 2015
UPDATED: FEB 16, 2015 Bottle: 2011 vintage. Slightly hazed bright golden body, foamy off-white head fades to a collar quickly. Huge sour yogurty lacto aroma, pear skins, peach, stone fruit, apple skin, lemon, & moderate hay-cork funk. A little sweat in the back-end. Sharp, acidic stone fruit flavor; lemons, apple, peach. Very sour & full of lacto, hay, light straw & cork; modest funky wood & stone fruit finish, lovely oak profile. Sharp mouth feel, super dry. Jolly Pumpkin nails another one. "this batch 85% bam, 15% lambic, aged in oak. Persistent funky sour aroma and flavor, mostly very good, but with a hint of baby diaper in there as well. Has the house JP brettyness, but there’s more to it, which is really nice. Slightly acidic with a long dry finish."
