750mL Bottle. Tart, spiced, and very, very, very musky aroma. A taste of immaculately fresh white grapefruit. I was really worried about the level of spicing in this beer, but this is pleasantly soft and married. Spices don’t overwhelm, but instead add to the complexity of the beer in a way that makes it a unique and fun Saison. Never soapy, always light and refreshing, but flavorful. I keep coming back to grapefruit and grapefruit rind as the overriding, spice-like emergence. Maybe a touch of lime. Good, good stuff. Young in a way, as it’s not that sour. ryan (3186) - Beltsville, Maryland, USA - DEC 28, 2010
Thanks to Sean for bringing this. Nice nose with sweet squash and honey, some nice vanilla oak notes, and just a touch of musty yeast. The taste is lightly sweet and lightly tart, light a lightly spiced pumpkin pie, some light citrus/brett/JP funk, some light pineapple. Just a bit vegetal at the end. Finishes with a very dry and bitter citrus peel note. Damico (3147) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 17, 2014
Pours murky deep yellow amber with a grayish white head. Aroma brings some soft mint and floral notes, suggestions of lavender. Flavor brings a tart balanced dryness with dry lemony tang ending, nice herbal notes from the healthy additions. dchmela (3078) - Orlando, Florida, USA - SEP 24, 2010

Tasted on 8/2/11 from a capped 750mL bottle shared by SpdKilz, thanks Carleton, bottled 7/22/10. Pours hazy light orange with a thick white head that slowly recedes to spotty lace and a decent collar. The nose is tart with some gooseberry and tropical fruit notes, green apple skin, the signature Jolly Pumpkin funk that I love, and some lemon acidity. The flavor is tart and sour up front with green apple skin and gooseberry, and pumpkin seeds, moving to Jolly Pumpkin funk, and some lemon acidity. The body is medium with slightly stronger than average carbonation, and a long, tannic, funky, acidic, and lightly bitter finish. ucusty (2691) - raleigh, North Carolina, USA - FEB 15, 2011
Thanks to the guys who shared this with me in line @ Jackie O’s. Hazy gold pour with a fizzy white head. Aroma is lacto and slightly vegetal. I was a little put off at my initial first whiff. Medium tart. Dry but not super dry. Spicy, vegetal, oaky tannins. Nice saison durhambeer (2500) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - DEC 21, 2010
Bottle shared by Turdferguson. Cheers, Sam. Pours a bright cloudy golden with lovely and large white head. Aroma is Jolly Pumpkin-esque. Lemony and bright. Taste is tart, with wood and earth notes and citrus rind. The kale is actually present and pretty good. Very interesting. Walt (2449) - Austin, Texas, USA - SEP 27, 2010
Pour is bright hazed orangey yellow with a thin, sticky and bright white head...smell is sweet and fruity at first...sweet with grapes, apples, pears...then some wonderful wood and Jolly Pumpkin deliciousness...nice funky notes...the taste...well, it is as if this was a wonderful collaboration between JP and Fantome...very earthy and herbal at first with leaves, horseblanket, and earth...then a lightly bitter grapeskin then fantastic light sour funk...lingeringly earthy funky finish...very well done...I didn’t get any pumpkin really...
