Foamy head with a vinegar sour aroma, but a mild sour flavor. Has a brown gold color and a slight bitter hop long finish. A pleasant sour. Gription79 (2892) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - MAY 24, 2014
Poured from a 12 ounce bottle from 2010. The aroma is slightly acidic, bourbon, cherries. The flavor ischerries, soft oak notes, malty, berry. This is tasty, but it is not overly complex. I feel that it is missing something, maybe past its prime? emacgee (4711) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - APR 15, 2014
Shared by JCB. Clean soft copper brown pour with 2 finger off white head. Phenolic and tart nose with some dry funky notes. Very tart in the mouth with some acetic notes and a touch of burnt grain. Floral esters show too with some sweet fruit. Very tart on the finish. Awesome. Steve_0 (3818) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 9, 2013
Bottle at home with friends, courtesy of Matt. Big thanks man!! Clear orange appearance with a small white head that quickly dissipated. Sour oranges, grapefruit, vinegar, oaky, lightly spicy, a touch of caramel, and toffee in the aroma. Taste is sour fruit peel, orange juice, grapefruit, heavy oak, a hint of pepper, funk, and red wine vinegar. Light body with medium carbonation. blipp (9904) - La Mesa, California, USA - AUG 25, 2013
Bottle at CGBD. Pours gold with a white head. Oaky and lightly fruity, with medium tartness, wood, and hints of vanilla. Really damn delicious.

A - Pours a cloudy plum purple / red. Decent head that fades fast.
S - Nose is great. Big cherry pie and sour cherries, figs and an oaky rodenbach nose. A slight bit of copper penny.
T - very nice. wow. Exceptionally tart and dry finish. I instantly get a bit of heartburn which is troubling but to be expected..(better go grab some tums). Lovely lemon and fig qualities. There is some vinegar but not much.
M - Medium bodies, slick and not too carbonated
O - Great beer. Great serving size. nice and drinkable on a cool summer evening.

12 oz bottle. Pours a deep caramel/amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flflavor have a wonderful tart cherry character, oak, light vinegar, some of the Jolly Pumpkin funk, even a mild vinous note. This is a crazy drinkable beer. I just wish I had more of it to drink. VikingHammer (506) - Lynnfield, Massachusetts, USA - JUN 23, 2013
Pours a hazy dark red with a off white head. The aromas are wonderful, sour cherry ,oak, dark fruits and vinegar. Acidic, balanced with a great tart finish. Amazing beer. bytemesis (9502) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - MAY 27, 2013
Bottle from 2010 - thanks Deyholla! Pours hazy reddish chestnut with almost no head and only a thin ring of beige foam around the glass rim that does manage to leave a bit of lacing. Aroma is wood, bourbon, tart cherry, funk, somewhat vinaceous - red wine. Flavor is much the same, light to medium sweet and corresponding tartness, tart cherry and bourbon notes forward, with funkiness coming in later along with lemon rind to provide just a pinch of bitterness. Woody notes linger to the finish, but do not bring much associated astringence. Medium body, basically flat in the mouth. Very nice tasting; I just wish it had maintained some carbonation.
