Blend 2 Bottled 2/24/10
Tasted on 9/17/13 from a capped 750mL bottle that has been in the cellar for quite some time. Pours dark, opaque, mahogany with an average white head that slowly recedes to average lace. The nose is very tart with tons of lemon acidity, white wine vinegar, a touch of burnt rubber funk, and just a light hint of the caramel malt that is obviously providing the darkness of this beer. The flavor is extremely sour and tart with tons of lemon, wine vinegar (very vinous), a nice touch of vanilla oak, and a very nice caramel malt underlying. The body is medium with a woody, tannic texture, lively carbonation, and a long, super sour and vinous finish. This beer with age is otherworldly.
355 ml bottle,bottled (I believe it is bottling date ) 02/12/2016.
Nose - sour, apple - grape,wine-ish. Reminds me of Japanese grape jelly. And some barnyard ( fancy name for livestock shit and urine plus rotting straw/hay ) on top.
Taste -astringent/tannic,sour,very winey, akin still fermenting dad's wine. Oh memories...

A really nice Flanders sour. Pours hazy dark brown and has a thick plum character. Boozy, rich malty body and a lingering sour character. HenrikSoegaard (14704) - Randers, DENMARK - JUL 24, 2017
