COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We’ve teamed up with Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales to create a special collaborative oak aged ale with plums, brewed to celebrate Plum Market’s 5 year anniversary. The special sour blend is aged on organic Royal Diamond plums; it’s an amber with a hint of roast, malty, sweet, and sour, and the delicate aroma and delicious flavor of more plums than you can shake a stick at.

Bottle thanks to Kyle. Pours a copper-orange body with decent white head. Aroma leans more towards grapes than plums. Definitly lots of wood. Some light bugs and funk. Taste is acidic even for a Jolly Pumpkin beer, red wine and also some caramel sweetness. Carbonation is rather low. Still good but doesn’t not have JP’s usual cohesion and drinkability.

Bottle. Poured a hazy amber color with a small sized off white head. Plums, some citrus, caramel, and wood. This one left me just expecting and hoping for a little more than it delivered.

blipp (10120) - La Mesa, California, USA - DEC 16, 2013
Bottle courtesy of DeyHolla. Shared with Ashley. Pours hazy dull orange with an off white head. Funky, fruity and musty on the nose, with medium tartness, some light toasted malty notes, funky yeast, and light sweetness. Well balanced throughout, and pretty easy to drink. Doesn’t hit the high notes of some other American Sours, but a pleasant and drinkable beer nonetheless.
