Pours slightly hazy deep golden with a small off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, dried fruits and funk. Taste is light to medium sweet and light to medium sour with a long sour, dry and fruity finish. Body is light to medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle, 75cl corked. Batch 976. It’s a more or less clear one, dark amber in color and with a dense, light beige head of moderate size. The aroma is quite fruity, plums and some lemony hints. A faint peppery and bretty touch too. Some faint caramel notes in the flavor, but it’s the fruityness that dominates. Plums and some lemon. Peppery hints towards the end, and a nice bitterness. A quite nice one, but not impressive in any way. Drinks easy and tastes well. 131122 chrisv10 (17270) - DENMARK - NOV 22, 2013

In short: A fruity amber sour-acidic ale with a dirty farmhouse character. Ok.merc7186 (3142) - North Tonawanda, New York, USA - NOV 15, 2013
How: Bottle 750ml, consumed when approximately 1 year of age. Bottle from my man sarro, thanks a lot Kyle.
The look: Cloudy amber body topped by a persistent small beige head.
In long: Nose is funky-sour, a strong fruity character, a wet dog sleeping on a horse blanket. In mouth the beer offers a medium body with an active tickling carbonation. Taste is a strange array of not-always-harmonious flavors, plums, tart dark grapes, funky sourness, caramel, dirty wood, leathery brett, earth, woody wine, dirty wet cloth, citric acidity. A too much acidity bite, that lowers the drinkability. Not that plumy, seems to me that with age the plums faded away a bit and developed grapes and vinous flavors. All in all a decent sour ale, but a below average Jolly Pumpkin. I really need to rate all Jolly Pumpkin beers I can find, is it a sign that I have an obsessive compulsive problem? Honestly, is it? I need to know. Am I obsessive? Seriously. Am I? Please bm me, I really need to know. Have you sent me a bm yet?
A: Reddish Hue, Passes Some Light, White Head, Some Lacing
S: Plums, Apricots, Mild Hay
T: Apricots, Mild Red Wine Barrel, Mild Plum
M: Decent Carbonation, Medium Bodied, Mildly Sour
Overall, a nice decent sour with a mild plum take but not much beyond it. jredmond (8201) - New York, New York, USA - OCT 6, 2013
Body courtesy of Ramy at Paul’s Housewarming 2013. Pours a deep orange body with nice thick white head and lacing. Aroma is spice, grapes, funky peach and additional sour fruits. Mouthfeel is medium with nice lightly acidic palate and notes of tangy citrus fruits, grapes, peach and that classic JP funk. Decent wheat and malt character balances out the sour/tart flavor bringing this closer to a saison than a sour ale. jcwattsrugger (12418) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JUL 30, 2013
