3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled 75cl. Murky amber with a tall head. Brett, horse blanket, fudge, cardamom (?), nutmeg and cinnamon showing up on the nose. More sour in the taste than the aroma might suggest. Aggressive yeast profile. Quite dry. Strong carbonation. Surprisingly short finish which is reminiscent of dandelion.
25.4floz (750ml), no date, paid about $6 sale price. Poured into a large snifter, appearing amber in color with an off white head. Sour smell in turn is moderately sour palate of dried leaves (somewhat hairy if you will). In sum this is a fairly malty sour with a medium body that is two thumbs up from me. Thanks Vran(s)? Matt? Don't remember Murky brown body with an off white head. Sweetish aroma, dominated by soft, well integrated chestnuts, quite nice! The taste, however, is nowhere near, light and dry, dominated by a sharp acidity. Eh. Just nowhere near I expected, especially after smelling it. melush (4737) - SPAIN - SEP 18, 2017

Klares Orangegold mit kleiner Schaumkrone. Malzig, etwas Karamell, leicht säuerlich, Zitrone, Barrique, Gewürze, etwas Pfeffer. wlajwl (7075) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - APR 24, 2017
Aroma is Belgian yeast, fruit/berries/mild bubblegum and a hint of sweetness. The flavor is fruit/berries, slightly nutty, malts and a very tart finish. KyotoLefty (10693) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAR 17, 2017
Bottle, about 2 years old now. Spicy, cakelike nose, chestnuts, caramel. Glowing orange-amber, clear, with lace. Sweet and sour flavor, spicy, chestnuts, yogurt, pumpkin pie spice. The spice is a bit overdone, but it is pretty good. copestx (227) - Vesterbro, DENMARK - MAR 6, 2017
Bottle in Austin ("Vintage Reserve 2015"). Some brett and fruit in the aroma but not that strong. But the taste is super complex while also being well-balanced -- bretty, chestnuts, peaches, citrus, oak and a nice spicy finish. Tasted better the closer to cellar temp that it got, the flavors really shined through where when cold it was a bit underwhelming. Strong beer, a bother solid wild ale from JP.
