Säuerlicher, fruchtig würziger Beginn. Spritzig, Bitternoten, eher wenig wrzig, kaum Kräuter. Okay. 10/8/9/8/10/9 Zlotta (3966) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - NOV 25, 2017
Sampled from 0.75 l bottle, bottled in July 2015. Hazy, dark amber with an off-white head. Sweetish, slightly sourish, a bit funky and moderately spicy aroma of pumpkin, lemon, rhubarb and some vinegar. Slightly sweetish, moderately sour, a bit funky and moderately spicy taste of pumpkin, cinnamon, rhubarb, lemon and some vinegar, followed by a medium long, moderately tart, woody-dry, slightly funky and slightly spicy finish. Medium body, slightly astringent and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice! Erzengel (9613) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - NOV 24, 2017
Bottle from Rudat. Smooth mild pumpkin with sourish hints. Refreshing but not too deep. Round and spicy, refreshing with mild herbal hints in the aftertaste. Sourish refreshing. Interesting. Beerhunter111 (22958) - P´Castle, GERMANY - NOV 24, 2017
Bottle shared with Erzengel! A slightly hazy golden beer with a small off-white head. Aroma of grapes, herbs, some ginger, cinnamon. Taste of herbal fruits, ginger, cinnamon, soft orange fruits, mild bitterness. SpartanStout (45) - Lansing, Michigan, USA - NOV 1, 2017
Really great orange aroma. Really great, well rounded citrus, orange peel, floral notes on the finish. Not the sour expected from JP, good.

A bit overrated! Boring gold pour w/ out much of a head or lacing. Aroma has some nice fall spices. Taste is an odd combo of spiciness, bitterness, & sourness. Points for uniqueness but it doesn't all come together for me. Just decent! anstei (2664) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - OCT 6, 2017
Bottle from Erzbierschof, bottled 8-17-2011. Pours cloudy darkish amber. Aroma is wild funk, pumpkin indeed, Belgian candy, phenols, citric. Body is medium, fruity, acidic and really pleasant. Soft carbonation, funk, citric, fruity, phenols. Dry palate. Amazing balance, held up really well. Great beer! Jpmercer (83) - shakopee, Minnesota, USA - SEP 5, 2017
Ok, so the joke was that Jolly Pumpkin doesn’t brew a pumpkin beer. Well, now we do. Just this one. Packed with real pumpkins, hints of spice, and a gentle kiss of cocoa to liven the soul. An everyday easy way to fill your squashy quotient. Guess now folks will have to find something else to joke about...

(Jolly Pumpkin La Parcela No. 1 Pumpkin Ale) Bottle 750ml at home, served into a shaker, ABV 5.9% SlackerMads (3543) - DENMARK - JUN 4, 2017
Deep orange colour on the body, clear, with a small and thin white head on top.
Aroma of peaches, gra[es, white wine, wood, only a hint of spices.
Taste is nicely sour, with grapes, vinous notes, peaches, spices in between and on the finish, tanines, a touch of toffee.
Medium thin body, quite dry on the palate.
Great beer, little has to do with all the other pumpkin ales out there.
Bottle. Hazy golden with a small off white head with good retention, lace and regeneration. Strong funky nose with wet dark wood, faint spices, dust and light lemony sourness. The flavour is mild with restrained spices, light pumpkin, wood, tobacco, dust, barnyard, leather, hay and berries. Good balance with little if any sweetness, light bitterness and light to medium sourness. Soft finish with lingering wood and berries. Good balance and not overdone in any way.
