COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
La Roja, an artisan amber ale brewed in the Flanders tradition. Deep amber with earthy caramel, spice and sour fruit notes developed through natural barrel aging. Unfiltered, unpasteurized and blended from barrels ranging in age between two and ten months. Truly an ale of distinction.

Pours a deep amber with a thin white head. Aroma is strong barnyard funk and some cherry. Taste is sweet with some very mild cherry tartness, backed up by all the brett funk. Has a very light body with fizzy carbonation. This beer is definitely heavy on the funkyness and light on the lactic acid sourness. The most forward with funk beer I’ve tried as many end up being too heavy on sourness.

Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a amberish copper with a half-finger of foam that dissipates quickly. Big oak forward nose, light raspberry and vinegar notes. Tart on the palate. More oak, some creaminess. Lots of lingering oak and berry, cherry notes. Good balance.

Disig bärnstensfärgad öl med ett kraftfullt smutsvitt skum. Doft och smak är bärig, fruktig, inslag av trä och brett. Torr munkänsla.

Draft at Mon Petit Cafe, Stuttgart. That's some proper flanders, very drinkable, strong red fruits and wood notes, little vinegar.

Pours red with a tan creamy head. Smells sour, funky, bretty. A bit vinegary up front, balsamic notes, nice, a sharp texture. Lots of flavour but nothing seems forced. Aftertaste keeps building, not bad.

Sampled at 2017 Dayton Alefest- sour pumpkin on the immediate taste. I appreciate the effort but not for me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy
