Lightly citrus and orange IPA with a light dank resiny note. Very abrasive bitter finish that lingers but you get used to it rather quickly. Not a bad offering and something different from one of my favorite breweries. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - MAY 28, 2012
Growler courtesy of mike m. Golden yellow clear ipa. Dehydrated piss yellow. Very crisp and clean with a very bitter finish. Some nice wheat notes In there but that finish is stonesque mikem409 (2022) - bloomfield, Michigan, USA - MAY 16, 2012

Pours a light grassy yellow with white foam. Nose is grassy, floral, somewhat citrusy. Taste follows, bitter, but enough grapefruit and grassy notes to keep it interesting. Palate is solid. Light, crisp, decently carbed.

Poured from a 64 oz. growler into a tulip.
The beer itself is a transparent faded golden color with a pleasantly foamy off-white cap that leaves a few splotches of lace down the sides of the glass.
The aroma is strongly bitter. Grassy notes, some wheatgrass, and a bit of grapefruit overwhelm a soft honey pale malt.
The flavor starts with some light malt with almost no sweetness. A long, strong, harsh bitterness with grassy and wheatgrass undertones. The finish stays bitter and leaves a bitter aftertaste. This is tasty, although it is a one trick pony.
There is a bit of juicy mouthwatering sensation up front, then a long, semi-dry bitterness for the rest of the sip. The carbonation is on the full side, but it’s creamy and does not get in the way. The body is right in the middle.
Overall, this is a nice beer; the strong grassy bitterness is a little different and makes no effort to be subtle. Sometimes the intensely bitter IPA’s don’t impress me if they are too flatly bitter, but this had a nice edge to it. flatmatt (1563) - Northville, Michigan, USA - MAR 3, 2012
On tap at Jolly Pumpkin Ann Arbor. Pours a clear golden with a white head. Strong citrusy lemon and grapefruit aroma. Flavor has lots of toasty grain and iced tea flavor with the grapefruit and a fairly strong bitterness. Just decent to me, really.
