Bottle. Pours amber, hazy, with large off-white head with perfect lacing. Aromas of fruits (apricots, grapes), some phenolic, spicy notes, and woody, a bit funky notes as well. Taste is lightly sweet, with subtle sourness. Medium bodied, lively carbonated, with somewhat woody, tannic aftertaste. Nice and complex, a bit saison-like. Gold, with a white head. Sour apple aroma and taste, with a drying biscuity finish that seems to include Brett. Thanks, Dan!

Mild resiney hop nose with a touch of spice. Cloudy, slightly dark golden pour. It tastes of coriander / pepper at the outset and finishes with the piney hops. Moderately dry at the end. Smooth mouthfeel with slight bitter coarseness around the edges. RateBeer calls it a Belgian Ale, but it tastes to me more like a dry, yeasty pale ale. tightslice (1415) - Redwood City, California, USA - MAY 28, 2016
On tap at Redlight in Orlando, FL. Aroma is especially fruity and floral without being nauseous, obnoxious or noxious. Getting dry wood, minerals, lightly spiced fruits. Silky and dry. Jolly Pumpkin can do no wrong.

Appearance: hazy medium gold with two fat fingers of fluffy ivory head, good retention and decent lacing. (4/5) Aroma: tart citrus, yeast, peppercorn, wood, barnyard funk. (9/10) Taste: moderate-low sweet, moderate-low bitter, moderate-high tart, light funk. (9/10) Palate: medium body, moderate carbonation, mildly funky finish. (4/5)
Another lovely tart wild from JP. I’m assuming the Grains of Paradise are responsible for the almost peppercorn-like spiciness on both the nose and the tongue. Again, nicely balanced tones of citrus, wood, and barnyard funk. Definitely a nice example of how to do brettanomyces properly. (17/20) sjogro (4653) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - APR 16, 2016
