Pours a dark mahogany with tan fluffy head. Aromas sour, a little barnyard, and roasty malts. Flavor is sour/astringent with a malty quality. egg (438) - USA - APR 9, 2016
2011 bomber on 4/9/16. Pours pitch black, absorbing all light. Thin tan head that makes a ring. Nose is sour, wood. Taste is sour and wood. A bit thin. Not much as far as stout notes. Cherry. Yummy. Easy drinking. Subtle dryness.

Ölföreningen 2015. Flaska, vintage 2012. Smak och doft av kaffe, sjögräs, rosad malt, röda vinbär och soja. Syrlig, relativt torr, stram, lagom sötma. Speciell! haddon90 (1634) - Newport Beach, California, USA - MAR 5, 2016
Draft at Mikkeller Bar in San Francisco. Deep black pour with a thin, laced tan head. Sour aroma. Some malty notes. But you would think it’s a sour. Its not. Mix of a sour, Belgian, and stout in the taste. Very, very complicated. But also very good. Pretty amazing beer. fluffy (2461) - St Petersburg, Florida, USA - MAR 1, 2016
is this supposed to be a sour stout? sure comes off like one. wasnt expecting that. good if thats what it was supposed to be.

Black color (non-transparent even with an powerful electric torchlight) with brown foam layer. Sour nose. Sour taste with a light roasty touch. A little weird, but quite pleasant. Dry sour aftertaste. anstei (2745) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - FEB 20, 2016
Bottle. More of a Berliner Weisse than a stout, very sour, but with those hints of roasty stout throughout. A mindfuck, and a good one at that. Very, very impressive. SinH4 (6567) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - FEB 20, 2016
Vintage 2013 bottle shared with anstei and King_Alex_II, courtesy of anstei, many thanks! Beautiful black color with big fine-bubbled tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, fresh sour feeling already. Taste is berry tartness, like a Berliner Weisse, with some dark malts there. Very foamy carbonation. Sourer than the Geuze we had before was. Incredible that this is only 8 ABV. Quite a paradox and amazing! markas101 (2529) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - FEB 15, 2016
Tap, Jolly Pumpkin, Ann Arbor, MI. Deep black, tan head. Raisin and juniper aroma. Sweet with a mild resin and dark chocolate flavour, black cherry and cocoa on the finish. dfinney23 (3424) - Houston, Texas, USA - JAN 27, 2016
When is a stout not just a stout? When it’s a sour! Dark and acidic, roasty and sour. Certainly not the norm but it works for me.
