Pours a very dark amber with a thinner, creamy looking, beige head that remains for a very long time. The aroma is heavily tart, with spices, cherry, yeast, apple, and minor notes of caramel and cinnamon. The taste is a balance between sour and malt. Cherry and apple tartness along with cinnamon stand out most. Underneath I find fig, spice, yeast, and some chocolate. Its pretty dry and has sour cherry aftertaste. Medium in body here, with a slick texture, and some fizzy carbonation. This is one of the better Christmas beers that I’ve found. Porxu (18) - Sabadell, SPAIN - DEC 16, 2016
Nice colour between read and brown. Thin head dissapearing quite fast.
Balsamic vinegar in both aroma and taste with that appearance of lambrusco that reminds my loved flemish red ales.

UPDATED: NOV 14, 2016 Bottle from Whole Foods Market in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is balsamic vinegar, banana peppers, tart fruit, spiced fruit (maybe some cloves). Taste is tart fruit, balsamic vinegar...wood and red wine. Tannic dry and bitterish finish. This is basically a less sweet version of the Duchess mixed with a dry red wine. Bottle shared from Logan. 2011 vintage. Lively gusher. Pours cloudy, dark brown, with a giant, foamy, tan head. The aroma is toasted oak, balsamic vinegar, old leather, cloves, and molasses. Sweet and acerbic, with a mild tartness. Medium to heavy body, silky, a little thin, with lively carbonation. I’m not sure if this was supposed to be a sour, but it totally works as one. Lively, smooth, and complex.

Refrigerated 75 cl brown bottled on 11/14/2014 poured into a tulip. Dark brown with medium brown highlights and big beige head. Aroma is dark fruit & oak, medium body, medium carbonation, and some lacing. Taste is tart, dark fruit (mostly raisin), some vinegar, and oak.
