Christmas, New years, Fourth of July, I dont care. This is one damn good beer. Aroma of sweet fruit, bourbon. Dark amber with a big foamy head. Flavor is very complex. Vanilla, fruit, wood, bourbon. Very dry finish, somewhat sour feel..

2007 bottle blend 2. Pours a glowing clear dark purple red with a huge billowing pink tinted thick foamy head. Great cheesy woody tart cherry aroma. A very tasty beer, quite dry, the woodiness really mellows it out, faint hint of tart cherries, light funky cheese, again super dried out, the flavors are sooo light. This is like the diet soda of sours, unbelievably crisp and clean. Almost has a cherry orval like taste. Light body, extremely airy, softer crisp carbonation, fluffy mouthful. Delicious, but the only complaint is the very short finish.

Burnt caramel pour with a huge foamy tan head. The nose and flavor are dried fruit sweet with a substantial amount of all spice like influence. Quite sweet with a clean finish.

750ml Bottle: Aroma of Brett, wood, and tart fruit. Pours brown with hints of red and amber in color and a small, creamy, off-white/tan head that lasted throughout. Cloudy. Sparkling. Flavor is medium tart and lightly sweet. Tastes of Brett, tart fruit, wood, metal, slight watermelon, grape, and a hints of malts. Medium body. Tingly texture. Lively carbonation. Tart, Brett finish produces massive salivation.

Bottle. Low fluffy off-white and quickly disappearing head. Think and muddy looking orange brown body. Vinegar like acidc aroma with spicy vineous notes. Powerfrul plum raising ginger flavor with a hint of pepper. A good deal of carbonation and a long and strong aftertaste.

Bottle shared with Blankboy, Gathicus, Hogtown Harry and GregClow, courtesy of Hogtown Harry. Blend 1, 2007. Nice aroma - some fruit, some oak, malty. Nice dark brown with a small head. Taste - lots of sour, of course, lots of spice, some burnt malt. Complex sipping beer and another winner from these guys.

Heavy carbonation calls for a gentle pour. The body is a dark wood stain and the aroma and flavor both have that touch of sourness that all Jolly Pumpkin beers have. Nuts and woods come from the dark malt.

Deep mahogany colored pour with a small off-white head that fades to a small ring. Aroma of caramel, nutmeg, oak, typical jp house funk, and some dark fruit. Lots of mixed fruit flavor, wood, nutmeg, cinnamon, caramel, and dough. Velvety medium body with a gentle but lively carbonation.

Pours out dark brown-black with no head . Taste is sweet fruit with roasty malt. Notes of dark fruits and spice. Semi Abbey-like but with sour yeast. Nice and very drinkable.
